I like Valve and what they've done for the FPS genre but calling Valve one of the fathers of FPS gaming is a little OTT don't you think?
I'd have thought id would be the only father of FPS games.
It's definitely not a slower pace on the PC.

Yeh it is. A few weeks back I noticed it was still priced at £35 for a new copy at my local Game store.
The only way games retain that kind of price after nearly 2 years is if they're still hot property.

You did well in noticing that it said there will be 100 minutes of cutscenes but you then went and said 'this game will be 6 hours and the other half cutscenes' meaning 6 hours of gameplay and 6 hours of cutscenes.
Since you are obviously incapable of thinking straight I'll save you the hassle and tell you that 100 minutes is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

I can understand how ODST could end up in 2nd spot from user feedback but someone really needs to knock some sense into those giving feedback.
Either that or teach 'em a little about 3d animation and graphics.

I don't remember Toshiba ever doing anything particularly shameful. They were confident in their format and TBH it would be a sad sight if they weren't confident in it's own product.
I think this is the second article today that has tried to make it out as though Toshiba has done something really bad and should be hanging it's head in shame.
Exclusive games are also games and therefore what we want.

That was frustrating but not very. It was a simple case of timing it to press the button just before you got hit.
By the looks of it most people won't have a problem running it.

True but as id pretty much created the FPS genre (I know there were FPS games before Wolfenstein) I'd have id as the father.
To me, Valve shaped the FPS genre to what it is today so I'd give them a different title but I can't think of what that might be.
