I understand you Eonjay is saying but developers usually get told about stuff and have access to it earlier than announcements. Imagine if developers only got hold of dev kits after the announcement of the new consoles.
I completely understand but the biggest thing that has pulled people into paying for PS+ in the past has been the free games and the thing that people complain most about PS+ updates for PS4 is the lack of free games compared to PS3.
When looking at the comments on the Playstation blog this is quite apparent.
We're getting more PSN games for PS4 over time which is great but I'm simply addressing that which most people seem to have an issue with and tr...
Quite a few of us are but you have to remember that after only a month there isn't going to be much they can give you for free. They are paying the publishers to allow us free access afterall.
For the next year we'll be seeing more PS3 games than PS4. It'll be better after that once the PS4 has a better library of older games they can afford to give for free.
I feel the slower nature of the gameplay has something to do with it leaning more towards simulation in some aspects of the game. For example you can't dive and expect to come out of it quickly like you can in a lot of arcadey flight games.
The game does have a lot of depth though and seems like there's a lot to get your head around for the average player.
I'm in the same boat as Ultr. I recently subscribed and found my guild is dead with only one other person ever online and my server, well that's been very low on Horde for years.
My PS+ subscription now gives me more fun for my money than WoW does or at least it did until my PS3 broke. Now I'm waiting to see what cheap deals I can find over Christmas.
This game looks interesting. Only came across it last week in the article about upcoming PC exclusives.
A lot of these reviews seem to score the game largely on it's single player. The multiplayer makes up for what the single player lacks IMO and TBH I can't think of any of the usual FPS games (CoD & BF) having single player campaigns that are much better.
Yep. I think my DS4 is going to replace my old 360 controller.
Better to have one controller on my desk that two especially with the 360 controller's seriously long cable.
I'm having trouble logging in. Resetting my password took a few tries but that's all I've been able to do so far.
Anyone got a link to the store? I'm not seeing it on Amazon.co.uk
I hope it's in-game :)
That's true for some but not all.
That's the thing. I still have an E8400 which is a dual core CPU. It's fine for most current games but those that require more cores like Battlefield aren't playable even at low settings.
I built it in 2008 or 2009 so it's about due an upgrade but with my PS4 coming today I don't think I'll be upgrading for a while yet.
Been wanting to upgrade my PC for a while but think I might wait until the second half of 2014 for the next generation of hardware. New CPUs, GPUs and DDR4.
What slimeybrainboy said. Remember Game crying about Steam pricing eating into it's revenue? They were throwing a fit and not stocking certain games because of it.
If digital games are cheaper (like they should be) people will buy them instead of physical copies from retailers.
Nice. A game with visuals and depth I hope.
I feel the Killzone games have slowly been going downhill since KZ2 which was the best one especially in it's multiplayer.
Also, he mentions no aim assist which I personally prefer. Too many games have too much aim assist. CoD has so much that it practically does half the work for you.
Pretty much. It's different which is why I recommend watching some vids before buying it. That way you're not disappointed.
Joe doesn't give high scores all that easily. A 6 from isn't bad at all.
I didn't think it was all that pretty playing it for the first time last night on my PS4. Then again it is an MMO and it's meant to be able to render a lot of characters and effects at the same time so I'm not too fussed as long as gameplay is good.
I think the visual upgrade is more of an increase in resolution than textures and effects.
