@Mikelarry
TBH, I'd have preferred it if Xbox Live didn't take off and was scrapped in favor of free online access. This way none of us would be needing to pay to play online with a console which is how it should be but isn't.
Water arrows for taking out fires so you have more shadow to sneak through. Makes sense to me.
These types of games tend not to work too well on console. Kinect is never really that great since we don't want to be waving our arms around for ages.
MS hasn't cared for PC games in years so a new strategy game from them isn't likely. I'm guessing this is an updated Age of Mythology game made to work on newer computers.
He didn't say he's completed it.
Having played it for a while I don't think you could complete it in one day if you go off the beaten track. As a stealth game you'll be taking it slow anyway so you'll have plenty of gameplay.
It's not what you could call a very long game but it's not short.
My copy should have arrived today. Looking forward to playing this game. People need give this game a shot. It's not the Thief we were hoping for but it looks to be a really good stealth game.
For some odd reason people think there's supposed to be some action in there somewhere when it's always been about the stealth and not the action.
I have issues with the UI too. Works fine for PC but text is too small for reading on a TV and a lot of the basics like using a map to find your way around is more of a chore than it should be.
I think with a little persistence I'd be able to really enjoy the game.
Thanks EyeWishUHeaven
I need to activate my PS4 it seems.
I've read this too somewhere but I don't see a demos option on the store when browsing on my PS4 though there is one on PS3.
Any chance you could tell me what path I take to get to the demos section?
I did try that. I added it to my basket and went through the checkout process. Unfortunately, nothing happened on my PS4 (no new notifications).
I did see it on the website later with something along the lines of 'unavailable' written on it.
I'll have to try again today and see if it works.
Thanks for the reply.
Agreed. Still waiting on my copy to arrive this Friday. I'll probably give feedback on the official forums for whatever that's worth.
Hopefully they'll do with a sequel what Ubisoft did with AC2 and make it what it deserves to be.
I haven't heard much about bugs in this game. The framerate seems to be the main problem with the way it runs.
I'm not cancelling my pre-order as its been to long since I've played a game like Thief. I also hope that there is a new Thief game down the road as I think the franchise has a lot to offer.
Wonder how my hybrid drive will fare.
Been looking to download the beta but can't find it anywhere on PS Store. I found it on the web store but adding it to my list didn't do anything on my PS4.
Anyone know where the beta is hidden on the UK PS Store?
I agree.
I was hoping for better scores too.
Doesn't matter though, as a stealth fan I'm sure I'll have lots of fun generally sneaking around, eavesdropping and stealing stuff.
Pre-ordered the limited edition since it was the same price as the normal. Looking forward to playing the bank heist mission.
The previous game had a great little surprise level that you could only get into if you were captured. If you were a good thief you'd never have known about it. Luckily I got captured and had to break out of prison.
I hope there's another prison break mission in this one too since they're always great. Enjoyed the sneaking around prisons in Oblivion too while doing Thieves Guild quests.
Isn't Second Son releasing almost a month later?
I'm getting both. Will be done with Thief by the time Second Son is out.
I ran to the middle of the map at the start and saw AI grunts just running out of one door as though the building was on fire.
They really are just cannon fodder IMO. I get more fun out of playing against other players. When I get distracted by AI I end up getting killed by an enemy player.
A MOBA style game mode would be interesting to play in Titanfall though.
They could have 60FPS with lower graphical fidelity or drop the FPS and improve the visuals. It's a choice devs make when creating games. The fact that they're happy with the choice they made is a good thing.
I wore my smaller socks today. They don't fit as well as my bigger ones and are quite tight but I'm happy with the choice I made. I'm sure many others can relate.
I wouldn't be surprised is Uncharted 4 is 30 FPS too. TBH I really don't mind as I'm more than used to gaming at 30FPS.
edit: It's obviously better to have the higher frame rate but when it's a game only available on one platform I don't think it should matter to anyone the way it does to fanboys.
I agree about the crazy number of weapons most of which are simply ignored.
I've always loved the weapons you used to get in games like Unreal Tournament. There were enough weapons and each one was useful while being different to anything else. The weapons themselves could be used in multiple ways too. You just don't get the same kind of creativity in weapon design anymore.
Maybe so but I've never heard anyone in the UK actually say they have multiple "Euro". It's always "Euros".
