I understand that cutscenes can be used to mask the loading of new game assets in the background. If that's what is happening then allowing you to skip the cutscene will simply give you a loading screen.
I guess this would still be better as you could continue playing as soon as the loading is done instead of waiting longer for the cutscene to finish.
edit: To me, the old checkpoint system is more annoying. I'd much rather be able to save as many gam...
Ads in BF games have been around a while. I seem to remember seeing them in BF 2142.
Thought that was the point of VR?
If you're just sitting then it's not much better than sticking a small screen in front of your eyes.
There's an app that shows you the stars and constellations which you can look around by physically moving the phone. Put that in front of your eyes while you use it and it's not much different to what these things offer.
I wonder if being able to see the ground is deliberately part of the design to stop people walking into stuff.
I'm glad to have the instant game collection. I've got about 16 games on my PS3 that I still need to play/complete.
I also find it difficult to justify spending money on some new games when I have so many already that I haven't played. Because you don't know which games will end up in the instant game collection I still buy new games that I really want to play. I bought the recent Thief game and will be buying Infamous Second Son as well as The Witch and the T...
This controller is designed with a control system that's supposed to be as good as if not better than analogue.
Adding analogue sticks would defeat the whole point of it's main feature.
Plus you'll be able to trade it later if you want to. I always go with hard copies where I can. Even for PC games.

Would make sense to have 2 day rentals instead of 1 considering the time it could take to download a game. Also the fact that people would probably want to play it over a weekend.
Another thing that would be good is the ability to pay for a rental for a particular day in advance and be able to pre-load the game so it's ready when your rental time starts.
I thought the 'tight turnaround' was about work deadlines too but I think cgoodno is right about it being more about his quick move back to Epic.
I agree but it's likely not going to be a copy paste job of the game story into movie. It'll end up being more like a re-telling of the story in live action.
Yeh the city design is annoying. Seems they simply designed the look of the city which is quite good but didn't design it to allow you to pass guards easily. This is an issue since you have to travel through the city quite a lot betweeen missions.
About line of sight I seem to get spotted quite easily sometimes when crouching from a distance and sometimes I can be quite close and not be seen in the dark.
The stealth in shadows is quite binary though. You&...
That's pretty much what Total Biscuit said in his video about how well it runs and how good the shadows and other effects are.
I played the mission where you have to follow the drunk guy. Playing it on Master difficulty there's no way I've ever been in a situation where I could walk near an enemy and not get noticed unless I was behind them.
Maybe the AI issues are on normal difficulty?
The thing that annoys me the most is the city design. While it looks nice there are too many areas with limited options for travelling through as the guards can be difficult to get past.
I agree. The game is good. People to who argue otherwise tend not to be able to give a reasonable explanation as to why they think it's bad.
I've played the older Thief games too and while the game annoys me a fair bit in certain areas it's still quite good overall.
I get that you prefer modern ones but you said you're tired of this kind of stealth game as though we've been getting lots of them. I prefer these types so I thought I'd ask.
Glad the games doing fairly well. The game is better than many reviewers made it out to be and the series has the potential to be so much better. I hope to see a sequel as there aren't many proper stealth games around.
I'd like to know what other stealth games are available that are like Thief.
£55 is the RRP on PS4 games. Not sure why though considering Xbox One games are still £45 like the 360 and PS3 games.
Some places do sell at full price though I stay away from them and buy wherever I can get it cheapest.
Sounds great for Xbox but I hope it's not twisted into some kinect focused game. I've always thought mouse and keyboard support on a console is a good option but how many people would actually use it?
I'll be getting this on PC day 1. This is too good a game to pass up.
