The EA hack is one part of the problem.
It's just tiring to see people specifically on this site that don't know the full situation to just lump ANY loss of info as phishing, or the user being the one at fault.
See the fact that 3 people don't even take a note to even contest against this and just "disagree" even just reinforces this situation even more.
Some of the issues with people on this site, is that they lump legit people into the same field of "fanboys" and such.
For example I did have fun playing MW3 in a few of the modes, but it really does have flaws within the game. Problem being, is that given with how mainstream the game is, they either blindly lump you in as an anti-fanboy of the game or hater if you point out any of those flaws and then you have those that blindly praise the game without even so much...
The problem presides when people think that it's the best game ever made cause of sales numbers, and not the qualities of the game itself.
It's that it went heavy mainstream that you get a lot of people into it. Look at the way how the community was when WoW had millions of players. You started getting people going "It's the best MMO EVER cause millions play it".
The TRUE battefield games are 1942 and 2...
There kinda is a level of maturity people are expected to have when you're contending with a huge age range, especially when it deals with others.
How you act on the internet does not instantly translate to how you should act around thousands of others in a convention.
Basically yogcast acted egotistical and immature during minecon, and Notch said something about it.
Supposedly they also dropped the f-bomb to a kid that wanted their autograph, and overall Notch wants to distance himself away from them.
"Online passes do nothing negative to the gamer aside from the few seconds of activating the thing. But they do a HUGE positive thing, and that's ensure that publishers and more importanly developers get their fair share of the income that came directly from their hard work."
Nothing negative? Did you not see EA posting their profits of 200+ million for passes, and then about a week later had a huge listing of servers shutting down on various games.
"So, during the lead up to Modern Warfare 3′s release, the publisher signed Stuart to produce the official weapon guides for Elite TV."
"He still didn’t forget his fans with the Express series. This was all well until last Friday when Activision requested ”the removal of Weapon Guide Express. It was complied with on [Stuart's] behalf by Machinima.” It’s worth noting that Activision waited after Stuart released 10 videos to remove them."
"And they claim they're the reason minecraft is big and that we should thank them more than anyone else in the community."
They feel that they should be thanked? Minecraft was popular through word of mouth, and then people had to jump on the "cool" wagon, in which I felt that's where they are lumped up at.
Definitely got the egotism thing going on.
Honestly watching and being involved in the progression of pre-alp...
@Reibooi
Thank you for explaining that. Was going to do it in a different post, but you basically used the same example I was going to.
Though I dunno if it's going to stop people questioning if they're going to continue making Tales games.
The series started on PC so I wouldn't be surprised.
Honestly it's going to cave in on itself sooner or later given with the annual releases.
People already slowed down on the annual sports games.
The very huge flaw with many people arguing for this, is that they think that numbers = quality, which is not always the case.
That statement is NOT saying MW3 is horrible, and is in fact fun, but people conflict that by greatest sales must mean it's best game ever.
I RARELY s...
Good lord man don't give them any ideas. Bad enough that some demos of games were being sold.
I dunno who Rocawaysound is on the comments, but he seems like an immature douche.
True, but at the same time you know this is a clockwork move by them.
It really does make sense when you think about it though, even on a business scale.
A good time to get a console is during the holidays, and if you block those that are illicit in what they do, if they want to continue playing the system, they'll have to buy a new one.
I like how the writer of that article has the gall to say "Be civilized guys.", and yet he took the tweet out of context and his attitude towards it was not entirely civil.
Dang. I got up to wave 30. It gets way harsh going through that.
"Although I don't really see spending your own money on something you want idiotic. It's $50 a year, hardly breaking the bank if it's something you enjoy. "
Which again, paves the way AGAIN for companies to try things. I don't call it idiotic, but people really need to question companies for doing things like this.
That's one of the main reasons why online passes are so prevalent today, along side of the reason why games are $60 ...
Curious, but did you check your points history and saw PREMIUM PACKS bought for Fifa?
If they're up there, then you got hit by the Fifa hack like I did last month.
And yea, the investigation does take about 28 days, so unfortunately you're high and dry atm on that account.
The best thing you can do is to call them up in a few days to see the current situation if they started the investigation on your account.
