@Cosmit
You were poking a bee's nest(i.e them) and basically with the rating system saying "come at me bro".
You're going to catch fire from that.
I find it funny someone out there had to feel the need to make this it's own article, instead of part of the VGA articles that are around on this site.
All just to get hits.
@maniacmayhem
I know. That's what gets at me. I mean I see some overwhelming excellent ideas coming from indie/normal people that implement stuff, like with the Kinect for example, much more better then devs themselves >_<
"Stop relying on ms. They only care about the money. Not your games."
Which tends to shut down some interesting ideas. Sad though that if you don't have the money, they won't bat an eye at you, and possibly be "inspired" by your idea.
"Wouldn't "peoples GOTY" imply it sold more to the people? I think there is a fly in that logic somewhere."
You can't make a complete judgement on a product until after purchase. Just because one bought a product, does not instantly mean they love it.
Hence why there's a used game economy for example.
Apparently it's too much to ask for equality on this site.
What's more funny is that you see people flock to this one with the congrats, but when you see the Sony or Nintendo ones people are just going "meh".
What's up with that N4G? Shouldn't you congratulate all of them for having an excellent month?
"I mean fair enough people who loved the first one but for the people still on the fence...please just wait untill it's in the bargain bin then buy it. I mean they havent improved on much, it's basicaly just a quick cash in with the audience they've already gained and they had a head start in development with all the cut content they had left over. "
So by that standard, if a price drop happens, then it means the game's bad?
Also ap...
how did you 2 get that logic from what grahf said?...
And on the sidenote:
Magazines - Digital - Gets rid of ads
TV - DVR, skip by them
Internet - Ad Blockers
"They're used to using google so they resist change."
Recently been seeing a lot of people use this line when something comes along.
"Does he have a job"
If he did, he's not doing a good job of it considering he had so much time to play games. :p
"Strike packages, anyone?"
That's not innovative...that's just re-tweaking what they already had going.
That's like saying that Deathstreaks are innovation after Killstreaks were around.
"I hear there is a workaround though, but haven't confirmed it yet."
So far I believe one exists, as when I was talking with a friend earlier about it, he was angry at them taking it out, and was working on doing the workaround.
Something of interest to note in the comments below the article:
"Actually, the word "International" was used by Andriasang in their report of this story, but this is not related to the traditional "International" versions released by Square Enix. Thing is, in the Ultimania guide, Hajime Tabata used the word "kaigaiban", which means "overseas version" in Japanese. When they refer to the "International" version, they use t...
@StanLee
Guess you didn't see his "in my opinion".
So when CoD does it for an entire month on 360, people didn't mind, but when they do it for the PS3 for 1 week in BF3 people backlash?
@Clayman
I kinda laughed at the way how you put it.
On topic though, given with the way how valve does the game stats, it has to be a certain point in the game before you get to that achievement. And according to the picture out of all that "have HL3", only 68.9% of them got to that point.
Make note that "have HL3" is in quotes, as taking this with not serious context as far as the "leak" is concerned.
"With the exception of indie, those are all social gaming. "
So yea...apparently MMOs and Steam are social gaming and according to the persona above that, will be the downfall of all games. Despite the fact that MMOs have been around long before people started heavily gaming, in the form of MUDs.
So you might want to tell Bioware then that the SWTOR MMO is going to be the downfall of gaming and not the progression.
"Also, Steam...
"So you're basically saying "Just because it's good doesn't mean it'll be good"? okayyy. lol."
I think he meant that just because the game scores good that NOT EVERYONE is going to automatically like it.
@Peppy
Just because everyone does something, doesn't mean it's right.
Honestly the VGAs are there for celebrities to pander like idiots in a field they shouldn't be around, and for companies to "advertise" in their stuff.
Not to mention a lot of issues as far as the "awards" are. A multiplat winning best 360, Portal 2 winning best DLC, etc.
It's all about popularity, not actual semantics for ...
