Steam is mainly a market place rather than a 'gaming service' but its true why would anyone use xbox live when everything on PC from a 'service' standpoint is free.

How many people on this thread actually played the game?
I played it for 1 hour at a friends house, and got bored of the endless non skippable cinematics.
This game does not require the involvement of 'playing', i compare this to my TV. When watching the same channel for too long it asks me for involvement or it will switch to standby, thats exactly how one plays this.

the blade system became old very quick and iy would not have worked with the group chat etc..

Sony and the various divisions have been systematically targeted I think.
First it started with PSN, then it moved to various studios etc..

I know 343 have not had the best of times releasing the MCC but since the platform changed there must have been some rewriting in code for the multiplayer.
Both 343 & MS have kept everyone up to date by the minute, and have offered something due to the broken launch.

I think its changing though, with so many 2014 games being released unfinished the tide is turning.
In some cases it does end up costing the studio that produces the game more money.
Whilst release dates can never be 100% certain (unless youre COD) its good to see some recent games that had delays delivered something playable and finished.
As for the other games (ubi/ea) its shocking how companies of their size struggle with timing.

Whilst I understand every possibility cannot be tested, there are many tools to automate a lot of tests..(The dev team use them in my job)
And a beta will test the immediate back end infrastructure due to the number of requests etc..
An open beta might have provided enough capacity to show some of the bugs, not all.
You cannot justify a broken game on day 1, when many games have betas and launch significantly bet...

Titanfall was pretty good, I never got it at release. Had other games to play but I got it about 3 months after, it was a really decent shooter.
