Sounds good :)
I really think they'll at least have a great first party lineup, whether the 3rd parties stick around we'll have to wait and see.
I'm with you man, I can't wait to play Zelda on the bus to and from school :)
It's actually launching at a good time for what it is. If it was strictly a home console it would struggle to win people over mid generation but it's definitely differentiated itself enough to get the best games from a few years of the gen at launch and be able to win over those who already had access to those games with the mobile aspect. It's brilliant, actually.
And yet this would be completely acceptable for any other upcoming console...?
I don't.
This is the most third party support Nintendo has had in ages, they've obviously moved a lot of Wii U games over to the NX (hence the droughts recently), we're getting updated ports (or perhaps sequels?) to the biggest Wii U games, this will be the first Nintendo console to get both their mobile games and their home games as well, so it'll be getting at least DOUBLE the first party output any other Nintendo console has had. All in all it looks to be the ret...
Why..?
Stop expecting a portable device to be as powerful as a traditional console.
I am so hyped for this! I really hope Nintendo comes out swinging with this one :)
I don't know what was going on with your Wii or copy of the game but there is no more input lag for that game than any I've ever played.
My impression is that the game looks incredible and will probably review very well and even get a few game of the year awards.
As for all their eggs in one basket we don't know yet, but they definitely have more games slated for the NX.
I feel like My Nintendo was made to compliment the NX, not the 3DS and Wii U, but they had to release it before the NX launch because Club Nintendo closed.
Hoping it gets better when the NX comes out because it feels half-baked at this point.
No, not like Atari. Atari never dominated the industry in the way Nintendo did with the Wii, NES, SNES and every one of their handhelds. Atari's IP never held a candle to Nintendo's (aside from Pacman, who transitioned from retro to modern with the grace of an elephant falling down fifteen flights of stairs).
It did for quite a while, it's most certainly been overtaken now.
It definitely depends what kind of system it is. It's possible it could be worth that premium.
Enjoyability doesn't change the graphics power needed to play games at that resolution, but I get what you're saying, gameplay-wise phones can't hold a candle to consoles.
Phone screens are just as high if not higher than your TV's resolution.
I'm just hoping My Nintendo gets good once the NX is out, if it stays like this then I don't think I'll be using it at all.
Sony just didn't have an IP popular enough to catch on.
I can't believe how anyone believes this when services like Steam are free. Of course you need money, but it can come from other places. Paying for online should never have become acceptable because it's completely unnecessary to have a good online service.
Since the Switch is both Nintendo's handheld AND console, one could expect it to get roughly double the support from Nintendo and third parties when compared to developers having to split development for both a handheld and console.
Put it this way, it'll be like if the Wii U got Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter 4, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Pokemon, Luigi's Mansion, Bravely Default, Kid Icarus, Phoenix Wright, Professor Layton, Yo-Kai Watch, Mario and Luigi Dream Tea...
