Sadly, I think the NX is coming out a year too soon to get a Pascal.
Yeah well that's obvious. The PS4k isn't going to reach 4k most of the time, neither will the Xbox 1.5. Getting 4k on every game is just unrealistic for anything coming out in the next few years. I expect 4k will be about as rare as 1080p 60fps games on the Wii U.
I doubt they would go backwards with their network, as on the Wii U you are already able to add people you don't know (without using friend codes).

I think a full red console would be too bright, at least in my media setup. I'd go for some kind of red light (similar to the PS4's blue light stripe thing) though.

Yeah, but they apparently made something like 6 billion in the same period, so it's all relative. Anyone who thinks Nintendo is dying is delusional.
All good points, although I suspect a gimmick is inevitable. Whether it is something that adds to or hinders the overall experience is yet to be seen. Remember, analogue sticks were once a gimmick.

Personally, I never believed them as I don't think Nintendo would ever release a system without a D-pad. They did give me a scare though :)
But the Wii U wasn't just more motion controls? It was a completely different system.
It's Nintendo Enthusiast, ie not a massive website. They have maybe 5-6 writers max, and I think they're all just doing it out of passion, it's not a fulltime job as far as I can tell.

Also, in the second picture you can quite clearly see that the touch screen ends towards the left side of the device, which did not happen in the other leak. Of course, it could be a strange reflection.
