They're in there with their bear. There, I said it.

I'd be okay with a map roughly the same size as Just Cause 2, as long as we get more freeways. Panau is a pain to get around without some sort of aircraft.

Lol. You forgot ChessMaster.

When you select a difficulty level, and a dialog box pops up saying, "Are you sure? It's not even remotely fair."

"FPS games that everyone buys into."

"Everyone buys into"

If it sells... sell it. High school economics.

Not saying it's a good thing. Just that they're selling what everyone is buying.

And whose fault is that? The whole reason journalists write what they do is...

Ready for it.

That's what people read. It's just like any other journalism. They print what you read. Look at the stories that hit the top of N4G. The 1100° stories are all about the big names because that's all anyone seems to care about. So I'm probably the only person on N4G that knows the map in Just Cause 2 is just over 414 square miles, or that you can s...

My 40gig is still running nicely. I did put a 320gig hdd in it so no worries about installs.

Amontillado. If you're going to make a Poe reference you might at least confirm the spelling.

I probably wouldn't have bought Infamous if I didn't play the demo first. After my experience with that game, I had Infamous 2 preordered in Feb and I preordered Festival of Blood yesterday. For better or worse, a demo will tell a gamer if he'll like the game or not. It might stop some of the really great games from getting overlooked, as well.

correlation =/= causality. This is basic science.
Are the kids violent because they play violent games? Or do their already violent tendencies cause them to gravitate towards violent games?
I'm leaning towards the latter.

This is either the worst blog ever, or the best. It depends on whether or not it's satire.

It looks like Final Fantasy XIII.

Edit: need to remember my refresh button.

@vortis
I buy games new. Not homeless. I just don't have every game that's ever been made.

Everywhere. For a few reasons.
1. It makes your writing easier to read when you write the way people were trained to read.
2. You look like a moron when your post is riddled with spelling errors, especially when your web browser has a spell check.

1. Some people ARE that passionate about their politics. We call them extremists on the world I'm from.
2. If more people were THAT passionate about their politics, some of us would be waiting in line for a cyanide shower.

I do ignore CoD. I don't care if it's the greatest game ever, or the biggest pile of crap to ever stink up a Best Buy shelf. I'm just not a fan of first person shooters (don't li...

It's taken seriously as a source of revenue. Have you not noticed how awful movies based on games tend to be? They're rushed out to get a piece of that 40 billion. I won't even go near the books. Novels based on video games were probably written by trained gibbons, because the publisher didn't even want to bother getting chimpanzees. Other people want a piece of the money you're coughing up for your video games. That's why we're starting to see video games being ad...

I have lost count of the number of times I've said that I would be raising the bar if I got into gaming journalism. There are writers (and I use that term loosely) who can't even spell the name of the game they're writing about.
And then there are the comments. I can't be the only one who's noticed that a significant portion of them look like text messages. It's almost like they're too lazy to be bothered with little things like making their comments reaso...

I'm wondering which criteria are used for the user blogs and reviews.

@ Heartnet
Really? You buy a game expecting bugs and glitches? You do realize that one of the reasons those bugs are still there is your pathetically low standard. Activision knows they'll get away with publishing a sloppy game, so they do. And you buy it.
I'm not saying you should expect absolute perfection. It's 3 million lines of code. There are bound to be bugs. I am saying you deserve better than what you're paying over $100 for every year.
