I haven't touched the multiplayer in AC: brotherhood. I probably won't bother with the multiplayer in UC3. I've played a few deathmatches in GTA4, and a couple of TDM's in MGS4. I have come to the conclusion that the best online component anywhere is User Generated content. This is especially true when you've got some creative people creating the levels, or missions, or whatever.
I can understand the reasoning behind "lame" and "other," but I do like the idea of a "Flamebait," option, if for no other reason than the steady stream of "PS3 vs 360," "CoD vs Battlefield" and other articles that just invite the trolls. I think it's at least worth considering.
Call of Duty sold 25 million copies last year. Every October it seems like "the next CoD" is all anyone with a console can talk about. I think it's actually gotten to the point where the overall quality of the game is irrelevant. CoD is popular specifically because of its popularity...
So who is the sheep now?
FTR: I've never played CoD. I don't have an opinion about it one way or the other. I'm just not into FPS.
Um. The controller that I got with my 40gig back in 2007 still works. So does the dualshock I bought last year. I've honestly never seen a ps3 controller fail. So there isn't a 100% fail rate in THEIR controllers.
Unless you count the fact that on a long enough timeline the survival rate for everything drops to 0. But in that case, 360's fail rate is also 100%.
What is it with Crytek and their overuse of the letter Y?
Crysis? Ryse? What's next? Prymate? Fynal? Tyme Flyght? Will they be vyolent? Will they have the same epyc graphycs?
I know it's probably off topic, but people actually think that "crisis" is spelled with a Y now. STOP THAT!
Confirmed. 52 platinum trophies. http://www.yourgamercards.n...
I don't share his opinion of CoD, but he is telling the truth about his trophies.
A corporation does have legal status as an individual. So it can be sued without targeting the employees or the CEO.
That's why so many small businesses are either incorporated or LLC. So the owner's personal assets can't be taken.
I know. I did read it. I would have written it if he didn't beat me to it.
You're not a real gamer if you waste time telling people that they're not real gamers.
I was able to gloss over that, and the "hundres of dollars worth discounts" then I got to "you download the game free charge" and I grimaced. I didn't stop until "what they don't telling you."
Write like it's going to be graded by the meanest English teacher imaginable.
I'm disappointed, Sony. Or Sucker Punch.... the Gigawatt Blades were free to people who didn't preorder inFamous 1. Now we have to pay for the stuff we didn't get because we didn't preorder at Amazon? Or Best Buy? I wanted the Lightning Hook so I went to GameStop. I figured the rest of them would be on the Store eventually. Free, just like the Gigawatt Blades.
Oh well. I'll probably still buy the stuff anyway, some of it, at least. I already have most of...
Just so you know.
"They're" is a contraction for "they are," it's used in reference to plural subjects.
"Their" is third person plural possessive. So the object of "their" belongs to "them."
"There" denotes location relative to the speaker.
For example: They're in there with their bear. There, I just used all three in a sentence.
I highly recommend everyo...
You summed up my conclusion nicely.
Totally agree with everything you said, except the bit about Battlefield. But that's just because I'll be playing Assassin's Creed and Uncharted.
Who wants to bet how much that MGS1 will be a freebie on PS+?
Yes. I own Tetris, and Angry Birds, and 2-D Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character. I have some casual games on my PS3 hard drive.
Now let's look at a few of the discs I own.
Infamous, Infamous 2, Prototype, Assassins Creed 1, 2, and Brotherhood, Just Cause 2, Heavy Rain, Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear solid.
And, in case you didn't notice, big sales is part of the argument FOR CoD being a casual game.
Further: you don't need to...
Assassin's Creed: Black Ops?
Niente è allineare. Tutto è consentito. Requiescat in pace
Did GGTL really wait until August to post this article? Can we expect a "Top Android Games to Get Through the Summer" sometime in October?
I didn't see the sarcasm, but I don't think he's hating CoD either. It looks to me like he's picking on people who just won't shut up about how 'awful' they think CoD is.
As for me, these are my 5 reasons for ignoring CoD.
1. The initials spell the name of a disgusting fish.
2. FPS games just aren't my bowl of pringles.
3. College
4. Uncharted 3
5. Assassin's Creed Revelations

In response to your response to #5.
You'd think in this futuristic setting some multibillion dollar multinational pharmaceutical company would have developed a faster acting anaesthetic, wouldn't you? Of curse if you shoot the guard in the foot it'll still take awhile to work.
Quick tip for the author. Aim for the carotid. It'll carry the anaesthetic straight to the brain.
