Microsoft is pointing to a chainsaw as a selling point for Rise of Nightmares.
I'm going to take this opportunity to point out that the original Doom had a chainsaw. It's not really anything new.
I have three things to say about this article.
1. SPELL CHECK....then proofread.
2. GRAMMAR CHECK... then proofread again.
3. Tone down the hyperbolic praise for games you've never played.
Let's just hope the author who writes about Jason being included knows kow to spell Voorhees. This guy somehow managed to get KruEger wrong, despite having access to the internet where looking things up is terribly easy.
Only 3 versions of Street Fighter 4? Capcom has improved.
I remember five different Street Fighter 2's.
I haven't bought anything from Capcom since Super Street Fighter 2.
The argument is fallacious. He's equating a fee to access online features with a fee for accessing a movie on a dvd. It would make more sense if the dvd in the example were to charge $10 to access the commentary.
If [used game price] + [online pass] < [new game price] then you're still getting a good deal. I don't see what all the fuss is about. Further: if you don't care for online features, you have no need for this online pass.
I will agree that AC1 was very linear, but 2 was a huge improvement (AC2 is what AC1 should have been). I also completely agree with your opinion of the worlds these games offer, particularly Renaissance Italy. However, I have to agree with Sage. Our freedom to wander through these worlds wherever we want makes them open world games (a subgenre of Action/Adventure) by definition.
I can't say I share Sage's opinion of open world games. I actually enjoy them, but that&...
Haha. If it were up to Hollywood, Frodo Baggins would have been played by The Rock.
Fortunately, it's not always up to the studio suits. So we could see Ellen McLain as GlaDOS and someone other than Cameron Diaz as Chell.
Motion Control is the future of gaming, and it always will be.
If you disagree, you didn't get the joke.
EA's online pass apparently includes a free trial. It seems reasonable to presume that Sony's psn pass will be the same. So rentals will likely continue.
I will agree with this blog and add...
If pre-owned price + online pass < new game price then you're still getting a good deal, and you have no reason to whine.
We, as gamers, want great games, but I see no reason to place excessive strain on the dev team. Maybe the publishers should rethink issuing deadlines. Give the devs as much time as they need, and the games might come slower, but they'll be 100% finished.
No more deadlines=no more crunch time=considerably fewer bugs + significantly better games.
I don't get why the author had to pad the article with five reasons. The first and fifth should be compelling enough for anyone with more than three brain cells.
Beatifull --> beautiful. Get it right. Your web browser has spell check, so you have no excuse.
Something like Just Cause 2: 414 square miles, grasslands, desert, mountains, forest, and lots of water, a small part of it was urban landscape. It was mostly little villages.
PSN, XBox Live, whatever Wii has.... Android has them all beat.
Just kidding. I do like my phone, though.
I actually can't offer an opinion on which is better. I've never been on Xbox Live.
I think the word "Who" next to agree and disagree would work. With that, you'd be able to see who clicked what. Same for the bubble up/down buttons.
I personally only rarely use those buttons. I prefer posting a reply, and then only when I feel I have something to add whether I agree with the statement or not.
The only times I've ever seen kb range unlock files are pre order DLCs and unlocking the full game after downloading a demo.
Games are getting more complex. Super Metroid was 32mb of data. Current gen games can run 250-500 times that amount. Hard to find every little bug in that much code. I'm not trying to justify day one patches, but hopefully this is a reasonable explanation.
Why not rent? Or download an actual demo?
