mediocre AI and physics comared to OTHER sims?
Which ones?
First of all, you need to make comparisons based on using a decent FF wheel, like the DFP.
Ive played Forza & TOCA, and althought I like those games, I still would take GT4 physics over them. As far as AI goes, I find all 3 sims to be somewhat crappy. Call that a tie, for argument sake. I do hope THAT gets better.
That said, GT4 was a disappointment for me, in comparison to previous vers...
Im confused about the ForceFeedback Q&A? I thought FF was ALREADY back in the PS3.
"Force feedback is very important for racing games like this and we asked Yamauchi if there were any plans to address this on the PS3. He said "it's very unfortunate (that there is not force feedback) but there's nothing we can do about it, maybe the force feedback will be brought back, there are rumors."
Im VERY surprised. Wasnt expecting this at all. Great news
Im confused. I thought the UK was one of our states?
As a long-time GT fan, I would take this July08, with a BIG grain of salt. Polyphony Digital has never met its projected release dates. Im sure something will come up, that will delay it. On the other hand, I would think it very possible, that they will release Prologue in time, as expected. They're much better at meeting deadlines that are only months away.
Ditto. The PSN continues to NOT make me moist with anticipation...:(
"The cars in GT5 look good because all of the processing power is concentrated on graphics. thats why GT physics, environment and everything else SUCKS."
It always amazes me how people have comparative opinions on games that havent even been released. How the hell do you know what Polyphony has put all the processing power into, with GT5? Other than a few screenshots, NOONE knows anything about the handling, environments, or even the finished graphics. You fanboys don...
Bill is a genius, when it comes to business, but, the "just video games" comment was stupid.
I never really cared about rumble in hand controllers. Take it or leave it.
Now, rumble in ForceFeedback wheels...Thats another story.
Im a big sims fan, who has loved the GT and TOCA series. However, the lack of 1 to 1 online implementation, really castrated this games appeal for me. I dont understand some of the decisions racing developers are making lately. F1 had so much promise, yet they didnt implement ForceFeedback on the wheels. Now, this from Codemasters. Im not sure what audience they think theyre driving at.
Im hoping GT Prologue will tie me over until 5 comes out, and Ive been playing a little For...
Im sure the DFP and G25 will work.
If youre a racing/driving sim fan, and you've used either of these 2 wheels before, you never want to use a hand controller again.
The DFP is being sold at Amazon for under $100, and the G25 at around $250
All you Console Clone Warriors, who like to verbally duke it out against each other, as if you had a vested stake in either company, are a bunch of Puss^yFagg^ots! Pull your pants down, below your nipples, for christ sakes.
GT5 in Spring of next year?
I will bet my virginity that PD doesnt make that timeframe. They never do.
Those screens sure look sick. However, Ive been fooled before, over screenshots.
douchebag douchebag!
game doesnt have ForceFeedback. Nuff said
Im reminded of a scenerio, where you have a once great professional athlete, who cant bring himself to retire, thus, tarnishing his once brilliant career...
I loved COD and UO. But, I havent seen anything significant brought to the table, since then. These screens might as well be from the first 2 games, and besides, its not all about looks. Maybe the gameplay will add something. The models look too familiar.
This is not the already released version, which apparently sucks.
Make the camera decent. I dont care how pretty something looks, if the controls are crap, the game just isnt worth it.
Its KIA, not Sony, isnt it? Why would Sony need to put a PGR pic over GTHD anyway. GTHD looks better. Dont Blame Sony on this one, you quick-to-pounce poofters
Finer than our Gerrrman knives?
