Im in the same boat. Ive been a sims fan for awhile. Started with GT2. I have both consoles and both wheels, and I also game more on my 360 than I do my PS3, but, even Prologue feels better. Could simply be due to the superior feel of the Logi DFP in comparison to my MS wheel. Dunno. Also, I miss those great GT tracks. That was my main complaint about Forza 2--not enough good tracks. Just picked up Forza last nite.
I just picked up Forza last nite. Im a fan of both series, and I will own both for sure. I started with GT, and Im probably looking forward to that a bit moreso. I just miss not being able to use my DFP wheel. I have the MS wheel but, its a bit too loose compared to Logi's products.
Not to nitpick, but, the author mentions Turn 10's unique rewind feature. Didnt Codemasters already do that with GRID? Apologies if someone mentioned this already. Too lazy to read all the posts.

I got into console gaming because of GT2. Had always been a PC Gamer til then.
Loved GT3. GT4 disappointed with the last minute removal of online.
Really enjoyed Forza 2, except for the limited number of quality tracks, imo.

wish they could or would add a true scaler, so those of us with older HDTV's with no 720p(only 1080), would buy PS3 titles, instead of Xbox version. I have to do that a lot

I kinda agree with PirateTom. I have both consoles. Most of my games are Xbox quite frankly. This is mostly due to the fact that I have an older HDTV that doesnt do 720p(only 1080i), so when a good game comes out on both consoles, I have to go xbox cause of the scaler chip.
That aside, I dont have tons of time to invest in a lot of games. I bought my PS2 and also my HDTV and sound system because of GT3. Ive bought the Prologues both american and asian just to get it quicker. Yes ...
I started out with GT series. it was the reason I went PS3 over 360. Im a huge driving sims fan. However, I eventually got a 360 too.
Forza 2 needed larger track variety. Other than that I was very pleased, being a GT fanboy. I got bored with GT5 Prologue very early. Now Im waiting on the Race pro demo.

GT5 better come out soon, or Prologue better make significant online changes, if they want to remain relevant anymore. Ive been a huge GT fan for years. I mostly went with PS3 cause of the exclusive GT series, but, their rep for taking forever finishing the series, along with making promises they dont keep gets older and older.
I love driving sims games also. The problem with this game, from what Ive read in the past, is its lack of tracks.

I didnt get Resistance 1 because my set doesnt do 720p, only 1080i. When its not a PS3 exclusive, Ive always HAD to go 360 version because of that. I guess Im gonna have to miss out on Resistance 2 :(
