Yeah, it's mentioned in the article. Free to download but it has a weird pay scheme.
They've said September for the BF3 beta. It is now September. Should be within the next couple of weeks.
Gears 1 on the PC didn't sell well so it was a no-brainer decision to skip PC releases for Gears 2 and 3.
That said, Gears 1 on the PC would probably have sold better if it had been released at the same time as the 360 version.
@DarkTower: Same price in the US but I think it is cheaper in the UK.
$49.99 at release.
The article says Gears 3....not Gears 2. Most of the games are releasing this fall. Could just have easily been titled "6 stunningly gorgeous upcoming games" though.
No, it isn't the deal that Toys R Us is promoting and no where in the article does it state that this is the deal that TRU is promoting. However, it is an option you can get with the deal and TRU never provided the disclaimer $59.99 or under or no pre-orders.
In fact, it's now two days since they've started running the deal and the website STILL shows the Gears of War 3 Epic Edition as being eligible.

@MeanOldMan: To feel better for what? I own every game console and a gaming PC. It's no skin off my nose if cross-platform play comes to the Xbox 360 or not.
The good thing for GameStop over this is that they are likely only out about $500...
@morganfell: This is the line from Valve concerning cross-platform play.
"CS: GO promises to expand on CS’ award-winning gameplay and deliver it to gamers on the PC as well as the next gen **consoleS** and the Mac.”
Clearly that means more than just PS3 and Valve is obviously in talks with Microsoft about the Xbox 360 as is several free-to-play developers about opening up Xbox LIVE. Of course, that could also mean the Wii U or PS Vita as mentioned in the...
Yes, but Valve clearly says consoleS in it's release of the new trailer. Clearly CS:GO cross-platform play is going beyond the PS3, PC and Mac. The questions is...where?
It's going to be a download release. Free-to-play and supported by micro-transactions for cosmetic items and 'loadouts' so you'll be able to jump in and play no problem from day one.
Indeed. This looks so much sweeter than the Star Wars one.
Yes. DICE has previously mentioned a server browser for consoles so that would mean dedicated servers.
Huh, that's the exact same cosplay model from the Atlanta Fight Club event from last October.

Some of the others are different. Good times though.
Console versions support 3D, both stereoscopic and otherwise.
"we do know that Tribes: Ascend is slated for release the second quarter of this year on the PC"
FYI: Tribes Ascend is entering beta in September and we are in the middle of the third quarter now....
@thorstein: Comparing BF3 to the LEGO games is hilarious. DICE is already pushing the PS3 and 360 hard with BF3 so they may not even be capable of pulling off split-screen without seriously degrading the graphics quality.
Yes, it was co-op but it wasn't *split-screen* co-op. IE: two players playing the same game on the same console. They were playing on separate consoles. BF3 co-op will be online only.
MS did something similar with Pinball FX. The game is free but you have to buy the boards separately.
Also, MS is reportedly working on integrating a micro-transaction system into XBL to support free-to-play games.
