Halo 3 had great water. Definitely looked a bit more alive than other games. It also looks a lot "bumpier". Maybe due to tessellation? I know Reach supports tessellation for water.

Interaction? Halo 3's water was definitely interactive, but mostly in the campaign. The first level had some great water. Multiplayer water physics was a bit underwhelming.

I didn't know Halo: Reach was even trying to be realistic as say, Call of Duty. You must have been playing on Legendary Right? If not, then there might be something wrong. You should have checked if there were any Engineers in sight. They give off some shields to Elites and grunts. Maybe thats why you had problems. Or maybe you were firing to fast with the DMR. Slow it down a bit. Pace your shots.

Grunts should die pretty quickly. Just one shot to the head for regular gr...

Halo: Reach is one of the best Halo games I've ever played. Played campaign on Heroic with 2 of my friends and we had a blast. I felt that Bungie really nailed the cinematics and even that touch of emotion that I never felt in any of the Halo games. In my honest opinion, Halo: Reach's campaign is something that I look forward to playing a couple of years from now. After I got done with Halo 3 and ODST's campaign, It felt really dull. It wasn't really something that hooked me i...

The servers were down a while ago. I was playing some BTB and maps wouldn't load. And everyone's ranks were reseted back to a Recruit. But after like 5 minutes later, they came back online.

Also, I think I just witnessed a Commander Grade 1. No joke. He invited me because he wanted to know what happened. Then I saw he was wearing Emile's helmet. But then when I checked his Service Record again, he went back to a Colonel Grade 3. It was pretty damn cool! :D

Well, to me, I believe the Academy of Interactive Art & Sciences is the one that looks more official. If you've seen it, you'd know it actually flows a lot like the Academy Awards (except it's for video games). The VGAs is also a good award show. But it also mixes between awards and a LOT of new game announcements. I also find the VGAs a bit like a comedy show and performance show. I believe last year, Jack Black sort of did a little comedy skit on stage where I believe he was...

Halo: Reach is a great contender for GOTY. Definitely one of the best Halo game in the series. I'd say its even up there with Halo: CE, if not better.

My personal GOTY is Mass Effect 2. One of THEE best games I've played this year. It was just epic. There are lots of GOTY contenders this year. Hopefully all the games that released this year get the credit they deserve.

By the way, and I'm just being curious here... But why are some people saying...

Remedy owns the Alan Wake IP. MS only has publishing rights. But with whats been happening with Alan Wake for the past 5 years, I doubt Remedy would want to switch publishers just for the heck of it.

Heres what Oskari Hakkinen (Head of Franchise Development) said in an IGN article:

"Currently, such a sequel has not been officially confirmed. "We're in a limbo at the moment where neither of us are talking about it. We're still in launch phase...

Sorry kind of mixed this up. I haven't been keeping up with the sales. But I'm usually at the Alan Wake forums, and mostly everyone there is seems a bit down about the sales figures for Alan Wake. Mostly because everyone had high expectations. I am willing to bet that MS and Remedy also expected a lot higher.

I will fully support an Alan Wake sequel. Alan Wake was a very interesting game. I found it a lot different than some of the games that I usually play. Alan Wake's sales sure do put me down. Hopefuly MS/Remedy are willing to put aside some of their losses and decide to make Alan Wake 2.

:)

Now Killzone 2 & 3 I kind of agree with. But MW2 looking better than Halo: Reach? I don't think so. Performance wise? Sure. MW2 pushing 60FPS is where I'd give it a LOT of credit opposed to Reach's 30 FPS.

Then again, Halo: Reach is a LOT bigger in terms of environments. Unlike Killzone 2 and MW2 which are quite linear. Both Killzone 2 and Halo: Reach both have their fair share of pros and cons when it comes to graphics. But overall, they are great looking gam...

In my opinion, I think Fable 3 looks a lot better than Fable 2.

Fable 3 shows off a nice lush world with great open vistas. Can't wait to see more of Fable 3. :)

Cheers to the Sound guys! Man, I love Marty. He really makes the game's cinematics and gameplay sound so amazing! Only 6 more days till Halo: Reach! I am super duper hyped right now!

Cheers to Bungie! :D

Most of you can always reference the Max Payne games. It took Remedy 5 years to develop Max Payne 1, but it only took 2 years to develop Max Payne 2. Like I've been saying time and time again, new IPs are not built overnight. Just like corneliuscrust said, Remedy must have made TONS of changes just make things work within those 5 years.

So with most of the engine, gameplay mechanics, and story & characters fleshed out, it shouldn't take Remedy more than at least 2...

From Digital Foundry's analysis, Halo: Reach is 720p. Which is of course 720 progressive lines of resolution. But its horizontal resolution is still 1152. So Reach's native res is 1152x720p. Which is of course a very nice leap compared to Halo 3's 640p.

EDIT! heres the link:

I'm really looking forward to go play Tower of Power again. Those were some of the best times I've had with Halo 2. :)

Anyways, it would be pretty cool to see more Forge World maps. Just like KRUSSIDULL said, I'd like to see some snow and desert type Forge World maps.

Just 24 more days! Bring it on Bungie!

Cheers! :D

Nice to see that Lionhead feel comfortable and relaxed with their development of Fable 3. It sure does make me feel better when I know that devs are confident with their play ground and just making sure that they get that last bit of polish into their games.

Can't wait to see more of Fable 3 in the future! Keep it up Lionhead!

Cheers!! :D

Man, that Firefight level sure does remind me of that level in Halo 1... But damnit, I forgot the name of it though. lol

Anyway, Halo: Reach is looking REALLY good. Probably one of the most polished Halo game I have ever seen. I can see myself playing this game for years. I mean come on, if Halo 3 has lasted me for 3 years, I can only imagine how long Halo: Reach will.

Cheers!! :D
