Everything is right where I remember it from Halo 2. Nice! :)
Btw, that guy got owned at 2:28. lol
:D
Give me Mass Effect 3! Because man, after the ME2 ending, I've been super hyped to play part 3. I had goose bumps when the game ended. I actually put down my controller, stood up and clapped. The ending and game was that good.
I also would like to have an Uncharted 3. U2 definitely was the best game I played in 2009.
Cheers! :D
32GHz?! Must be mistaken for '3.2GHz'. lol
2GB split? 5GB total? That might be a hassle to work around if budgets are concerned. Next generation consoles will probably be limited to 1-2GB total... But hey, someone might surprise me. :P
Cheesuz, are you mad right now? No need to call me an idiot. And when I looked at your comment again, you sort of edited it so thats why I thought before, you were implying that Killzone 2 uses MLAA. And no, I am no MS fanboy, don't know why you think so. I've seen GOW 3 on an HDTV, but we are not talking about scale and textures, we're talking about MLAA and its effects on sub-pixel elements. You're taking the matter at hand way out of proportion.
The pic I g...
Sorry I couldn't post a link... I sent it to Markus in a private message. I tried looking at the link logged out, but I have to be logged in to see it. Sorry... But I promise you, I wouldn't lie to you. If I could send it to you, I would. But It wouldn't make a difference since its a private message..
Btw, I don't think that Killzone 2 and Saboteur use MLAA. Killzone 2 uses QAA and the Saboteur uses some form of explicit edge detection. God of War 3 certainly ...
SubHD was most likely due to eDRAM constraints. Having 4xMSAA on a game like this could easily be taxing to memory and bandwidth. I doubt the PS3 would be any different since its memory and bandwidth are much lower compared to the 360. MLAA might have made a difference, but with Alan Wake rendering a lot of sub-pixel elements, I think MLAA would have made Alan Wake look a bit worse.
I contacted Remedy about using custom Anti-Aliasing solutions for future projects (most notab...
I need to play this game right now! Seriously, Halo: Reach is looking mighty fine. All the screens and trailers are really amazing. Probably my most anticipated game right now. Cheers! :D
Yeah, Alan Wake sure did suffer from repetitive gameplay. Thats something I hope Remedy fixes in their future games.
But I kind of disagree with how you said Alan Wake did not sell because of its metacritic score. 83 is actually pretty good. Considering games like MAG (73 on meta), Heavy Rain (87 on meta), Splinter Cell: Conviction (85 on meta), all managed to sell pretty good.
But it might due to Microsoft's marketing. Not much going on there since I ba...
There was no way Remedy cut the open-world experience because of Xbox 360 limitations. Just like coolbeans said, Remedy had to cut it so players can have a more direct experience with the story. They obviously didn't want the players to think, "Meh, I'll do this mission later.. Let me run over some people first". Its best to keep this type of game in a balanced pace so the player is more immersed in the story rather than having that feeling of "What was I suppose to do ...
Alan Wake was a good game. I can't see how exactly Alan Wake belongs on the list.
While Mass Effect 2 had an unbalanced feel from RPG and shooter, it was a damn good game. ME2 and RDR are probably the best games I played this year. I played Uncharted 2, But I feel that I liked Mass Effect 2 better than Uncharted 2... It's my opinion so please, don't start flipping tables. lol
There are a lot of GOTY contenders at the moment... I mean, A LOT. And then we have upcoming games like Mafia 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Halo: Reach, Gran Turismo 5, Fable 3, etc.....
Are we still beating this dead horse? I mean, half the comments here say "Nope, GT5 and StarCraft 2 are". I say we just leave it at that and move on.
I would definitely want to see a sequel for Alan Wake. It was a really good game. Like I said before, the only thing for me that killed Alan Wake was the repetitive combat. But other than that, it was a pretty damn good game. On top of that, we just got some DLC which also was pretty good and it was free. I must say that the DLC was even more scarier and challenging than the original game.
I can't wait to play the next DLC to see where Alan is going to take his journey n...
I liked this DLC. I found it way more scary and challenging than the original game. One thing that I didn't like too much was that the DLC composed mostly of combat and only a little bit of cutscenes. But hey, this DLC is free! And it was pretty damn good. Can't wait for the next DLC, 'The Writer'. But, it looks like I'm going to have to get 560 MS points.
7hank you Remedy! Cheers!! :D
Played the demo, I thought it was pretty generic. The artistic design was bland and boring, and the shooting mechanics didn't feel right to me.
I think I might pass on this one.
In my opinion, I think some people over-exaggerate the development time Alan Wake had. You have a very small team, new setting & characters, new engine built from the ground up, and of course Remedy was pushing for the AAA quality value. Thats not something that happens overnight. It's always best to take your time.
But graphics wise, yeah, sure. It was a bit hyped up from a lot of people to be the next graphics king and what-not.
That looks amazing! Too bad it was really short. :(
I've seen this before. I think I saw this on Gamespot a while back. :/
It takes time and practice. I've been playing Halo for a long time. I had lots of experience with Halo 2 so being a good player was sort of easy when it came time to playing Halo 3. Believe it or not, Halo 3 does take skill. Play with some of your friends and start a FFA match, its good practice.
Once you start feeling comfortable at your playing level, start heading into matchmaking and play some ranked team slayer... And if you want a more serious challenge, give MLG a ...
You just brought back so many good memories.. Good times.
Ascension was an awesome map to play on in Halo 2. I for one enjoyed doing all those super-jumps. lol. Can't wait to play this remake! 7hank you Bungie!
