I hated playing Halo: Reach on Legendary by myself. One of the most frustrating moments in my gaming life. Instant death after instant death. Not to mention the Elites just laugh at everything you throw at them.
The skirmishers & buggers were a b**ch! I'm not kidding. When they travel in a pack it's almost impossible to kill all of them without wasting almost all of your assault rifle ammo or at least trying to do an overcharge plasma bolt. Brutes were fairly easy...
@Hufandpuf
Bubbles to you man... bubbles. LOL!
Now I got to get some paper towels cause now I got water all over my monitor you bastard
Wow, looks amazing! Very sad to hear Cliff lose his father at such a young age, as well as Rod and Lee's father. Epic really want to nail a more richer and deeper story. Definitely looking to be the best Gears in the series.
Cheers! :D
Need a moment? Chew it over with Twix.
Sorry... Had to. :D Okay, I'll go now....
Amazing gameplay!
*flees*
Please..... please take this bubble for one of the funniest comments I've read in awhile. LOL
Nice reference there! ;D
I totally forgot Bungie and Sucker Punch were both located in Bellevue, WA. Google mapped Sucker Punch & Bungie's address, they're about 10 min away from each other.... Practically neighbors.
Nice to see Jaime found a new home! :D
This is the second time you've posted that today. I'm pretty sure everyone gets the picture.
After sharp settings, it's now an aliasing cost vs softness trade-off. It seems that after tweaking the sharpness, transparencies become affected as you and Timothy point out. Subpix AA is toned down compared to default FXAA which handles sub-pixels perfectly (and then at that point again we deal with the blurring cost).
So overall, MLAA seems to be a perfect choice if you want sharper image-quality & FXAA if you want less of a performance hit. But at this point, I r...
Hmm... FXAA-console seems to get the short end of the stick. While it does seem to get rid of the jagged edges, it blurs the quality quite considerably. The Castlevania comparison shows that FXAA does mess with the quality (the quality of the foliage in the background is really noticeable). MLAA does seem to do a better job cleaning up the jaggies but also retaining image quality.
For consoles, it seems to be a fight between performance cost vs image-quality cost. FXAA is 1m...
I believe this is Corrinne's first Halo game. She's not the mother of Halo, she's the mother of technology. She has been been a programmer for quite a few studios. She was the director of technology at Gearbox. By far one of the most talented female programmers in the industry.
Anyways, I for one am looking forward to Halo: Anniversary. Go 343! :D
2009 - 240K
2010 - 450K
2011 - 507K
Wow, quite an impressive jump. Congrats to MS!
Cheers! :D
That's happen to me a lot before. Just yesterday I was at a 1v1 DMR battle in MLG and I dropped the dudes shield and then I got pretty nervous, he turn around, strafed and I got shi**ed on. lol. Pretty embarrassing. Another bad one was when I was chasing someone and I managed to get him half shields, but he banked a grenade off the wall and then put me down with a shot to the head.
Halo is by far one the my favorite and funnest FPS games. Halo's multiplayer stands o...
Hmmm... Not bad, not bad. Out of all of those, the ones that would seem more suitable would be: Xbox Rise, Cloud, Falcon, Vibe, and possibly Now. I just hope MS comes up with a good name for their next gen console. Hopefully nothing lame... lol.
Yes, the Xbox 360 does have an onboard way of doing AA... And that is through eDRAM. But it does come with a cost. Trying to fit a full 720p framebuffer with at least 2xMSAA can be troublesome for developers unless they resort to tiling. And tiling is also really problematic because it adds more controller lantency and also eats up a lot of CPU power because you have to render everything twice.
So if no tiling, devs resort to dropping the resolution. From the Digital Foundry...
Screen looking.... LOL! Man, those were the days huh? Miss it so much already. :[
Yeah, Halo's skyboxes are really great. Just came from a Gametrailers forums and mostly everyone loves Reach's skybox:
http://forums.gametrailers....
Couldn't agree more. :D
I never clicked "disagree" so don't go blaming me. Second, I don't think anyone including me said anything about Halo being better than any other game. I also pointed out that I wasn't speaking for EVERYONE. But I feel that Halo's multiplayer was what kept a lot of people hooked on the gameplay.
Will EA eventually throw up the beta in the marketplace? I remember last year with the Medal of Honor beta, the codes were leaked and I managed to get a hold of one. lol
"Once More Unto the Breach – 75G"
When I first read this, I immediately thought of that Halo: Reach trailer. lol
@xVeZx
I remember that part. Where one of the Elites had dual-wielded plasma rifles and one had a fuel rod cannon.
Heck, manning the MAC gun itself was frustrating. You had waves upon waves of dropships and banshees killing you fast as heck.
I apologize if I'm spoiling to much for some of you. :/
