Playing with friends who have mics is important! It's almost impossible to win a MLG match when you're playing with a bunch of randoms... Especially when they don't have a mic. Muting the other team is also pretty helpful so you're not a victim of proximity chat.

Strafing is a big factor in Reach. Not strafing is pretty bad especially with an opponent who can 5 you with the DMR. I don't even want to talk about the amount of times I've been out-DMR.

What was wrong with dive to prone anyway? It was never really a problem for me... Ah well...

Still playing Halo 3 & Reach online! They're just fun to play with all your friends... What's there to say? lol

I occasionally play Halo: CE.. But I'm anticipating anniversary! It's going to be fun as heck playing it again with updated graphics. Halo: CE lan parties were probably the best moments in my gaming life. Cheetos, sodas, and friends. What else could you ask for?

Cheers! :D

I still find it hard to believe that a company as big as Rare is only working on Kinect. Rare has about 200 employees, that's really big. And to have all of them work solely on Kinect to me is quite a waste of talent.

Though, I still have this feeling in my gut that MS/Rare at least set a few people aside to work on secret projects that don't focus solely on Kinect (making new IPs or reviving games like Banjo, Conker, Killer Instinct, & Perfect Dark). I hope to fi...

Not a lot of studios like being bought by big companies. Judging by Bungie's recent ViDoc, they were absolutely pissed that they were being bought by MS. Because most studios have that "F*** the man!" type mind set. They like the fact that they are independent and could so things freely.

Out of those studios listed, Gas Powered, Remedy, & Ruffian seem like a good fit. If MS is going to buy any studios, they should definitely look into buying small studios such as the ones I mentioned. Crytek & Epic are relatively big studios that also cater to multi-platform development. Not to mention both Crytek & Epic have a couple of divisions beneath them. That would be a huge investment for MS.

Despite what some people say, COD's story isn't even that bad. In fact, it's quite interesting. Sure, the story may not be as heavy hitting as other games, but it's still pretty good.

Edit: LOL! Not even 10 seconds and I'm already hit with a disagree. Someone is really trigger happy! ;D

Even though I myself don't have a 55 inch LED, that's actually not a bad idea. Just have auto vista on in a kickback or something with music playing.

Nice man! :D

Since Gears of War 3 is soooooo close, I'm currently anticipating it the most. Once the other games start getting close to release, I'll start to build hype for them.

The environments & textures in Halo 3 were not that bad. They looked quite amazing actually considering how big the environments are for a FPS game on console. The character models on the other hand were horrendous though.. I think it's safe to say that Halo: Reach was a massive improvement over Halo 3. lol

I too don't really give a crap about Halo 3's resolution.. Especially since Bungie implemented such an overkill method of HDR (though I do like it much bet...

The resolution drop is a disappointment. But there could be many reasons as to why it dropped so low. Insomniac are definitely using a lot more alpha in R3 with the inclusions of fog, smoke, and dust which affects the fill-rate which could be the reason why frame-rate dips as low as 20FPS.

The resolution drop is most likely a simple memory/bandwidth problem Insomniac ran into. QAA seems to be the biggest culprit seeing as it takes up around 18MB of memory. Lighting on the ot...

Do you literally play games 12 hours a day?

5295d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well, Rare can't sell the rights to those games because Rare doesn't own them.. Microsoft does.

So unless MS wants to sell the rights to Perfect Dark, Kameo, Conker, and Banjo to Sony/Nintendo... The Xbox is the only place you'll ever see those games. Though, I do agree with you.. I really want to see those games come back again. Sucks to see Rare concentrate so much on Kinect and not deliver us those games..

:/

Next-gen consoles may utilize DDR4. DDR3 might be another option seeing how it's dirt cheap nowadays. From what I've read, GDDR5 may not be used as its cost are quite high.

We'll see....

@lazertroy

Like Exgamer said, FXAA is post-processing AA. It's aimed to reduce the effects of sub-pixel aliasing while getting rid of jagged edges at a relatively low performance cost. FXAA has an advantage over MLAA as it handles sub-pixel edges and it's pretty quick for GPU rendering. But as a trade-off, the overall quality of the image gets blurred.

MLAA does not blur the quality of the image as it does not have access to sub-pixel information as ...

But MS already opened a studio that catered to family games... MGS Family: http://123kinect.com/xbox-3...

Now SOHO is going to develop family games? Two studios catered to making Family games? o_____O I just don't understand...

I think Matthew Davis is a better suit for Nathan Drake. They almost sound & look exactly the same. Kristen bell.... eh.... I don't know.

J.K. Simmons in my opinion is a great choice for Sully.
