Well that certainly sent a shiver down my spine.
I'm really hoping for an Alan Wake 2 announcement. The VGAs seem like a perfect time to at least tease the game. Looking forward to the other unveils!
And how do you know exactly what it is? Do you have any other concrete info you'd like to share with us? Other than it's "apparently" on the scale of Gears and Halo, we know absolutely nothing about it.
I predict 1000 degrees, hottest article for the week, and about 200+ angry comments.
This isn't going to end well. Especially with a headline like that. Read the article, not much. Now if you'll excuse me, I think my popcorn is done.
^^ All very good tips! Bubbles+!
Edit: Whoops, could have sworn I hit the reply button to grifter024. lol
Hey man, no one is stopping you. If you enjoy paying for XBL, game on my friend. Just know when the day comes when you no longer want to pay for XBL, PS3 is waiting for you. If you have both, you're set.
The Metro 2033 situation with the PS3 version is probably the same case that The Witcher 2 developers (CD Project RED) faced. They simply did not have the man-power, budget, or resources to develop both a PS3 & Xbox 360 version.
Being that the Xbox 360 is quite close to PC architecture, it should be pretty obvious why they chose not to develop a PS3 version. If they had, they probably would have done a pretty bad job with the PS3 version; resulting in a poor port.
I guess I could sort of agree on changing up the gameplay formula a bit, but iron sights? Ehh, not really. I don't see how it could be properly implemented since Halo games rely heavily on strafing, jumping, crouching, etc.. I just don't see it in a Halo game.
Read the interview Digital Foundry did with CD Project RED, you can definitely see they had to compromise a lot just to get the game running on Xbox 360 ( http://www.eurogamer.net/ar... ). I FINALLY got around to playing The Witcher 2 for the Xbox and I can tell you it's definitely one of the best looking 360 titles out there.
About development costs, I do hope...
Well it's nice that they cleared up this "lead platform" mumbo jumbo. With that said, I do hope that both versions perform well and not one of them is skimped in terms of technical performance. We wouldn't want another BLOPS 2 incident; but I know Rockstar is better than that.
Cheers! :D
Even though some people have some hate for Gamestop, I for one find them a convenient place to buy videogames. I can literally walk to the Gamestop near me without having to drive and waste gas just to buy a game. If they were to close down, then unfortunately the next nearest place to buy a game would be Target, and I would have to drive for that.
Hopefully this does not affect the Gamestop in my area. The people that work there are really nice and I would hate for them to l...
They are both great games. We could probably see a new Red Dead in the Future after GTA V.
This is really immature. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but either way, it's posts like this that should ban users on N4G.
In regards to your previous comment. That is straight up the worst lie I have ever read in my entire life. MS banning you for giving Halo 4 a bad review and then blocked your email? How long did it take you to come up with that?
Just click on his profile and look at his activity. Look at his other submission that he desperately tried to get approved:

This guy is a certified Halo hater/troll.
"It is not gonna move any console with bad meta score though".
I'm pretty sure even you don't believe that. And what is a bad Meta score? 88? That's not bad. You made an account just yesterday and most of your comments are about the metacritic score and the franchise being "dead". Obviously it means a lot to you. But it won't affect consoles sales. Again, you can mark my words on this one.
"Franchise might be dead"
Wtf have you been smoking? This and BLOPS 2 are going to sell crazy despite dropping to an 88. This does not suck for MS in the slightest since their main goal is to make money, and they're going to make a LOT come Halo 4 launch.
Come back to N4G maybe 2 days after launch (a week at most) and you will see an article saying something along the lines of "Halo 4 sells __ million day 1". You can mark my words on ...
Wow, you're not kidding about Metacritic. Not that it matters to some, but Halo 4 just dropped to an 88.
Oh boy, we got a storm coming.
Uh, What? If gamers by now have not liked the Halo franchise, then I doubt that even releasing Halo 4 on the next-gen Xbox would change their minds. And for the record, Halo 4, 5, 6 were pretty much confirmed as soon as 343i debuted Halo 4 as part of the "Reclaimer Trilogy".
I heard if you get banned all you need to do is report it and MS will lift the ban. That is of course assuming you bought the copy legit and have a receipt to prove it.
In terms of graphics, realistically I see 720p/60FPS and 1080p/30FPS with probably sports games and arcade titles doing 1080p/60FPS. Maybe with an AAA title here or there with 1080p/60FPS.
AI, physics, etc. should also be a big improvement next-gen.
We'll see.
