I guess you weren't here when Halo 4 got those numerous 80s and that controversial 1/5 from the website Quartertothree that drop Halo 4's metacritic score quite significantly.
It shouldn't matter anyway since 8 is a good score for any game. It signifies that it's a solid title. But of course nowadays games have to get at least a 9 or a 10 before anyone thinks of buying it. Also adding the fact that most people just look at the score and just completely forget...
Please tell me you're not StrongMan. Because that would be pretty lame if you created another account just to get your point on how much you hate Xbox and MS across.
And the fact N4G users approved this article knowing StrongMan's OBVIOUS agenda these past few weeks (actually, for a while now) just goes to show how much this site has fallen. Mods (if there are any) need to ban this guy.
Ah, thank you very much for clearing that up! Sorry about that. I didn't understand your comment at first. lol

How exactly is the next Xbox "sticking with 360" when the specs compared to the PS4 are somewhat similar? Durango is rumored to also have an 8-core Jaguar CPU, and also 8GB of RAM. Obviously the differences with the PS4 are GDDR5 vs GDDR3 and the 1.2 TFLOPS for Durango (rumored) vs PS4's 1.84TFLOPS (confirmed).
Unless I'm not understanding your comment correctly, the next Xbox should be a big jump compared to the 360 like the PS4 is to the PS3.
They're going to go with Blu-Ray next-gen. There is really no excuse to use anything else honestly.
As far as royalties go, every company pays other companies to license their tech/software. You may know for example Sony's VAIO computers; they use Microsoft's Windows 8. Blu-Ray/PS3 also support VC-1 codecs which is also made by MS. It's just a lot cheaper than completely investing in new tech when you can just license them from a company who has already made ...
Maybe he means gameplay wise. Because even I'll admit the gameplay looks pretty standard for your average first-person shooter. Now if you're talking about graphics, it doesn't just look okay. It looks pretty damn amazing.
When I first heard 8GB of GDDR5.....

Damn Sony!
Oh wow you're right, they did update the Youtube app. It's all blue now! lol
Well, at least the versions are quite similar IQ and performance wise. No screen-tearing is always a plus for me. Obviously in terms of console versions the PS3 version is the way to go since it's only 1 disc and supports 7.1 audio.
Happy gaming!
I've been on this site for I would think a pretty long time. And this is probably the first time in a while I've seen an article have over 300+ comments. I knew the moment I saw this in the pending feed that this would get 1000+ degrees.
The comment section from the live feed was hilarious. Everyone couldn't believe Journey was taking home so many awards. Congrats to thatgamecompany for their work on Journey. It truly is an amazing experience that should not go unnoticed in the gaming community.
Also a big thank you to Sony Santa Monica studios for backing Journey and actually wanting to see this project come alive and see its full potential.
Congrats to all the other titles that were n...
It's not FXAA. I believe Crytek said they were using SMAA T2x. Crysis 3 is definitely being rendered in sub-HD resolution though.
Well thank you Crytek for giving them a new home. Can't wait to see what they develop.
Cheers! :D
I occasionally play GTA 4's multiplayer here and there. Bomb da Base is definitely one of my favorites. I look forward to playing GTA 5's multiplayer and roam around the big city!
Quantic Dream suits Sony so well. Sony should definitely consider acquiring the studio after Beyond is released.
USUALLY if you've played a good game the player will send you a friend request just so they don't have to play with randoms all the time. That's what I do because I can't stand playing with that one random player who isn't that great and gets everyone killed. lol
I'd be nice to have the friends list support more than 100. I'm not sweating over it though.
MS wanted more RAM for the OS so it could pretty much be a multitask, multimedia machine. They are most likely going to go with eDRAM again so that Durago isn't bandwidth starved.
@StrongMan
LOL! It's not even the metacritic score, the fans will ride or die for Halo. It's the fact that we still don't have a true ranking system, the playlists are really not that great, and the map selection is awful.. Seriously, who wants to play Haven for the 19239434th time?
Halo 3 had by far the best playlist selection for both the casual and competitive, and it had a trueskill ranking system. I'll be back on H4 when 343 rolls out the...
Overkill? Not really. You also have to take into account the rumor that the OS will take up about 1.5GB. So in the end, developers will still have about 6GB and some change to work with.
Halo
Mass Effect (Still a solid trilogy despite the flak 2 & 3 got)
Uncharted
Gears of War
I've enjoyed a lot of them quite honestly. Can't really name them all.
