but I'm getting disappointed with how picky Ps3 owners have been with their game purchases. R&C and UT3 needs more loving.
The faster the Ps3 gets the casual gamers aboard the better.

Haven't touched it for 2 months and likewise Halo 3....I only play SP.
But am enjoying R6 Vegas(xbox360) that i'm borrowing.
And anyhows, the Ps3 has UT3 to keep us busy...
The Ps3 has KZ2.
And with the glimpes we've seen already and clear improvements to the original game - including useable vehicles and an aliens faction - then who cares about GeoW.
KZ2 will the the king of the roost for FPS in 2008.
They aren't as skilled/experienced as class veterans like insomniac, Naughty dog, Epic etc.
Relatively speaking, GG are is just a baby developer but is getting better....slowly.
Damn, I wish Naughty Dog or Insomniac had made KZ2....or even KZ1. How truly spectacular this franchise would have been.
Oh yeah.
Now KZ2 can have big bad MF Aliens that that are a b'stard to kill....or great to have on your side for Coop.
And hell, what if they are more technologically advanced and just are waiting for the ISA and Helghast to take each other out to easily take over everything. Then the former enemies will need to unite to combat those invading alien hoards....KZ3 me thinks.

Uncharted is a great game due to the whole package. It's gameplay is obviously standard fair(explore, fight, shoot, solve puzzle) but combined with FMV, stunning visuals and involving sound and wicked AI, Uncharted manages to make the gamer part of an epic adventure like being fully part of an great Movie.
There's no harm in keeping it simple. It's what you get from the game that matters and overwhelmingly those who have play it simply love it.

I never got into this franchise but I'm now sold completely.
High Velocity Bowling is the latest example but most games haven't.
Sony needs to make it compulsoary for all game developers to include minimal ingame xmb, music, chat etc.
A GameOS implementation of ingame xmb menus would be a major undertaking - that's why it's taking sony so long.
Just easier to lay down the rule that all new games must have ingame access to xmb.

You're all assuming Sony's Play-mote will be a copy of the Wii-mote.
Of course it won't. Sony will keep the good stuff and get rid of the bad and bring in better ways of having a two handed motion senstivie rumble controller.
Hell, just think of a controller with the analogue sticks at the top and chop it in half ensuring each half has rumble and motion sensing. You can still play your standard game with the traditional controls(analog, pad, trigger) but now have...

The wii-mote-like controller is the FUTURE OF CONTROLLERS.
Sony needs to make a better version of the wii-mote for the Ps2 and quickly develop 4-5 games that successfully utilize the more immersive gameplay. Then have the Play-mote packaged with the Ps4 in 4 years time.
I can guarantee the xbox 720 will have a wii-mote-like co...
