until they stop being x'tards and learn how to properly program the Ps3 and produce fantastic results like the great 3rd party developers like Infinity Ward, Ninja Theory, Free Radical, Epic and even ..... Criterion(an EA owned developer).
I'll buy EA games once their developers start doing good work - there's simply no excuse for not doing so.
So screw ALL half a55 ports. Save your money for something worth it.
That is the key to Wii's success and will be the key to the Ps3 eeeeeeventually winning this gen.
Casual Gamers are motivated to buy on price and gaming value. The wii clearly has the price advantage and fun gameplay.
But those same Casual gamers also buy the Ps2 which is ridiculously cheap and has the fun gameplay with its huge library of games.
Those casual gamers - and likely Ps2 owners - will migrate to the Ps3 when the price is right and the l...
With a name like your's, surprised you stayed this long.
Your reasoning is premature and ridiculous.
Every PS fan knows Sony has done major mistakes which has lead to alot of frustrations but the tide is clearly turning in Sony's favour....they are really starting to deliver.
And we still have millions of casual gamers who are Ps2 owners still waiting for the price to get even lower to buy their Ps3. Add to that developers becoming more familiar wi...
If every game was multiplatform and optimized and developed by those who know the system/hardware then there is one console that clearly stands out above the rest....
The fanboys focus too much on exclusives or software when the focus should be the hardware. And we all know which hardware is the best from a company with a worldwide reputation for making quality hardware.
Go figure.
GTP - nice
LBP - crap
ad ratings that is.
Damn. After seeing the pirate ad, my wish list would be they allow you to ad water effects or ponds/lakes. Need to wait for LBP2 suppose.
give the trolls bait.
The casual gamers are the ones who have and are buying the Ps2 at the moment.
Cheap and fun(due to huge library of quality games).
Although the Wii doesn't have the huge library of games it still has that fun factor with the wii-mote centered games.
Revolutionary or Next-gen consoles are always expensive and take a while for the price to drop and a library to be built up.
Those casual gamers will eventually start to pick up the Next ...
PRICE & Unique gameplay(Wii-mote)
Kudos to Nintendo for producing an * EVOLUTIONARY * console allowing it to be cheap and have that uniqueness to be considered over the next gens.
This is what Sony needs to do with the Ps4 - produce an evolutionary console without * REVOLUTIONARY * components as well as their own better version of the wii-mote so they can sell it cheap and also cover the niche wii gameplay market.
I will always keep championin...
will be the Ps3. This will become the norm.
As the Ps3's install base gets larger, deveopers won't want to lose sales and development costs due to crappy ports.
Not long before crappy ports will a thing of the past.
It's obvious that GOW won't be released 2008. Damn, look how long they're taking with KZ2 and that will likely be released Nov 2008.
Yeah, 2009 is fine.
But the developers need the time to make GOW3 truly spectacular.
And also there's going to be so many AAA games set for 2008 and the Ps3, it's best to save this gem for 2009.
Different genre altogether.
They need a new franchise
But reviewers had their heads too far up Microsoft and Billy's a55 to know any better.
Looks like UT3 will be getting alot of < 90% due to being nothing new....yet still a great FPS
And yet Halo3 - my fav shooter - got > 90% for being "nothing new"...yet still a great FPS.
The inconsistencies and bias of reviewers are a joke.
Vary the combat(especially devilish AI) so it's not repetitive
and
considerably lengthen the gameplay and/or add MP online.
These are all that are needed make HS2 a truly AAA franchise.
Oh, yeah. Bring back Nariko.
Ps3 owners are picky or have varied tastes + smaller install base.
They don't just buy any game made - no matter how good it may be - for their console of choice. I know many xbox 360 owners who don't hesitate to buy most games released and then quickly trade them in for another.
And if a game is short and limited by replay value or MP online then don't expect mega sales; and even more so if with no marketing or bad - clearly biased - reviews.

Nearing the end of the Ps3's life cycle Sony will release its own optimized version of Linux for their machine.
This will test the water for a dual boot system for the Ps4 and will also extend the life of the Ps3 a couple of more years as you'll get a gaming machine with a huge library of games, media center & PC for < US$150.
Let's wait and see around 2012
But for the time being, Ubuntu's my favourite Distro on the Ps3.
Will be competing with COD4 and UT3 not KZ2.
Has some uniqueness to do good business but hoping it has usable aircraft and tanks to challenge UT3.
But probably won't happen.
I'm a diehard Mercenaries and Halo fan and believe a shooter broadens its appeal with a usuable buggy, tank, aircraft combo....especially for online MP.
Did someone say Warhawk?
Fingers crossed for Haze and KZ2. Bring on the vehicles.
The PSN is a baby service that will only get bigger better and stronger.
Likewise with Sony delving into media downloading. Sony doesn't enter a market unless it knows it's going to be * COMPETITIVE * and will likely make a * PROFIT *
Hooray, I'll no longer need a PC with that crap Winblows on it to legally download a music or video fix(I'm a diehard Linux and OSS fan).
And least we forget, Home is coming and likely in-game XMB and personal music ...
