SCE Santa Monica(God of War), Criterion(Black), Insomniac(Ratchet), Zipper Interactive(SOCOM) or Naughty Dog(Jak) should have made it. GG was just too inexperienced.

Had one of these developers made Killzone - with all their experience with the hardware - the game would have been a true AAA. Criterion alone would have likely made Killzone spectacular if Black is anything to go by.

But this is all water under the bridge now.

GG has improved but I'm susp...

It's still too linear.

Levels need to be large to allow different approaches to completing it.

At the mo' it's just simple do it by the book, step 1, 2, 3, etc.

We now need to see usable vehicles. How are they going to be implemented. Need to know.

It has the Gung Ho Ruggedness to it's gameplay - typical Epic who are shooter masters.

Resistance is a good shooter but it's just too standard - except for a couple on chaotic battle levels and the weaponry.

Nathan Hale and his colleagues need to be made more rugged and gung ho like Marcus. Then - with it's huge MP - it will have a lot more appeal especially to Gears fans.

But at the moment, Nathan is just too boring and sterile a central game hero.

To giving these two a good run online.

should be fun.

They want to maximize their profits by multiplatforming their games.

Unfortunately, recently their choice of developers as very suspect with crappy ports to the Ps3.

Do a better job with Madden 09 and you'll be forgiven EA.

Problem is the game preference for your typical xbox 360 owner.

You know what sort of owner I"m talking about.

it'll definitely come next.

a better version of the wii-mote/nunchucks will be ideal for aiming in FPS.

That's a no brainer. It'll be coming ....

The Ps2 needs a Play-mote - a better version of the wii-mote that can be used with existing games.

The the Wii would tremble with fear as the Ps2 will be cheap, have the unique gameplay and have heaps of games.

It will sell alot of games but not consoles.

As good as RFOM is, it just hasn't distinguished itself from the large number of great shooters out there.

* 2 or more cheap as Cell Processors

* Heaps of Ram

* Slightly improved GPU

---> one mighty powerful PC console(aka a supercomputer).

And ridiculously cheap on release.

Oh yeah, and packaged with the Play-mote(better version of the wii-mote/nunchucks).

The best gaming experience is when you're seated 2 inches from your HD TV.

WTF. Idiot fanboys.

A minimum of 10 hours SP gameplay would be respectable. The rest of gameplay coming from online MP & Coop.

But I wish some developer would find a way to make shooters more sandbox than the traditional linear.

The obvious way to do this is make the level map large, allowing multiple avenues to get to achieve the objective and of course, allow the use of vehicles. Mercenaries has this down to a tee.

C'mon GG. Learn for that great game and bring in s...

The casual gamer and brand loyalists.

The xbox 360 will optimistically max out at 30 million units in its life time. This mainly due to die hard gamers/loyalists buying the brand - and the type of game synonymous to it. This also explains why the 360 does better game sales.

I can almost guarantee a lot of 360 owners have been or are PC gamers.

But the Wii is selling by the boat loads in the States - the casual gamers.

I can almost guarante...

Lots of Wii buyers will also take up the Ps3 once it's cheap enough

and

Ps2 owners yet to migrate

and

HD TV yet to become mainstream and when it does, say hello to the best Bluray player on the market - ps3.

USA

This territory will easily succumb to the Ps3 by late 2009.

There is no verge. The tide changed - the War was over - late last year with the massive price drop. And there will likely be another one before the end of this year.

A lot of Americans are buying the Wii and will likely also pick up a Ps3 as a NEXT GEN FIX when the price is right.

Also, there will be a lot of Americans who are ps2 owners and haven't as yet bought a new gen cons...

an RTS. This game will be great.

also bring on Halo Wars

I heart Ubisoft. They aren't perfect but they certain aren't EA or fanboys.

but my major gripes with it was the disappointing graphics and linear gameplay.

The gameplay was fun but just too linear.

Now the graphics have been sorted, time to fix the LINEAR gameplay.

We need to see some vehicle gameplay.

Please make the fully usable, meaning you can get in an out at will - not the restricted/limited like we saw in Resistance.

The inclusion of fully usable vehicles would definitely separate KZ2 from COD4 which is the king of FOOT ONLY COMBAT shooters.

Just imagine how varied this level would be if a vehicle was available to use during it. That what I loved doing in Halo 2 was try to sneak a vehicle into the SP level t...

of the original Killzone. The others being graphic glitches, bad physics and linear gameplay.

The first three are obviously BEING SORTED but my concerns are now about the linear gameplay.

Killzone 2 is likely to have a short SP due to the size of every level. That duration can be lengthen by opening up the levels with a more sand box approach. Then they'll last longer. Fingers crossed.

Otherwise, GG will be prepping KZ2 for online MP domination.
