To whichever self-proclaimed hacker that this applies too,
Okay firstly, good for you...you want a cookie or something? Seriously, you want to do something truly impressive, stop hacking Sony's platforms, and if you want to knock my socks off, talk your buddies into leaving the vita alone as well. That would be a monumental feat that would surely overshadow any meager hacks you've done. I'm pretty sure you couldn't pull it off, but the sky is the limit right? ...
I already imported mine. I dont regret it at all, it's everything I hoped for.
Wahhhh, waaaaahhh... Cry some more, Ahahahahaha!!
No but seriously this isnt cause for concern considering sale trend patterns of previous Sony console releases. Most of Sony's Consoles start slow, release worldwide, gain momentum and sprout really strong legs....this is just more sensationalist journalism.
Yeah the browser is ace, except for no flash support like you said. I think Sony might be able to get flash on the browser, perhaps akin to the flash support on the PS3. As for it supporting HTML5, yes it does but the browser shows that it's in it's infancy on the vita with only limited extension support. It's already an awesome portable browser, and it can only get better as we go forward.
I wasnt really having any problems to begin with. I obviously wouldnt see a difference. My vita has been strong and smooth since it got here from Japan. Only one error, I was playing Uncharted and I guess I left it in standby mod for too long, so when I get to a part where I have to use the touchscreen....no response. Power cycling the Vita fixed it no problem though.
I see you fail to consider the merit of his argument (flawed though it may be).

"Yeah a lot will talk but witht the graphics presentation plus 3D resident evil will shine... In a way uncharted just can't. Man nintendo knows handhelds."

"Well the ps vita is more powerful. But I have to agree it isn't like last gen. The 3ds will have equally impressive games graphics wise like ps vi...
I just find it hard to believe that some of these comments are serious. I have right in front of me now a Japanese Playstation Vita running Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and it is simply amazing in motion. I am a notoriously discerning pixel hunter to my friends, and I say with confidence that from the amount of instances of physics on screen, overall pixel count and texture quality, fluidity and diversity of animations (Drake, friends, and enemies), the high polygon count on everything minus the ...
@ Sev
It's true my friend, you can access your US PSN account, but not the US store, and by extension...all PSP games in the US PSN store are not yet compatible with my Vita, yet the game saves are completely transferable. Content manager on my vita doesnt even see uninstalled US PSP games on my PS3. It has been confirmed that they will be compatible, but not until release day in the US.
I imported mine as well, and it's quite simply amazing. It will be even more amazing once it launches in the US so I can play my PSP games on it along with the Vita games.
Already imported my Vita and an 8GB from Japan, ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT so far. I'm now waiting on Uncharted: Golden Abyss to get here. Also waiting on the US release so i can play all my PSP games on that beautiful screen.
It's not exclusive to AMD by any means. Both AMD and Nvidia are soon to release true updated drivers for Rage compatibility. Hey dont take my word for it http://forums.steampowered.... . Why would Nvidia be focusing on a driver for a game that supposedly works fine for Nvidia's cards? SLI and Crossfire are driver level right now, so the game doesn't support it without the release...
It's not exclusive to AMD by any means. I am an owner of Rage on the PC through STEAM and I frequent the forums there. Both AMD and Nvidia are soon to release true updated drivers for Rage compatibility. Hey dont take my word for it http://forums.steampowered.... .
Here is the post in case you dont want to follow the link, and this is from Bethesda Softworks.
I just tried it with the new 11.10 preview drivers. I must say that performance is reminiscent of a game that lacks a crossfire application profile. With ultra settings in 1080p eyefinity(5760x1080), I averaged around 50fps, and looking at the ground netted me 108 fps. I have seen a guy with a similar setup claim to have way better performance at the same resolution. At 1080P (single monitor) I average approximately 160fps outside at ultra settings, but I am overclocked.
Excuse my flub up, I meant that the whql 11.9 and 11.10 preview respectively.
Yeah they dont specify which driver versions they used for NV or AMD, so I'll hold my reservations. 10.9 whql just dropped for AMD cards, with 10.10 preview already being talked up for it's improvements in the beta. I would try it out but I dont want to sign up for an origins account.
@ infamous-butcher
Please allow me to address your argument. I use the term "topped off", because the one thing AMD/ATi cards cannot do (only because Nvidia made it so) is run the PhysX API, which is a nice little touch to ambiance and destructibility in the games that support it. (also worth mention is that when I originally purchased these HD6990s, the GTX590s were having serious issues with voltage throttling and by extension overclocking potential, according to numerous ...
Oh I see why I got disagrees, I forgot to provide proof. It's nothing super special but it's water-cooled, it is everything I listed, and it'll last for quite a while... I usually go by the screen name cq842000. http://www.tech-forums.net/... . Hit agree or disagree if you adore PC gaming....

Surely you were being sarcastic.... http://www.tomshardware.com...
Which is why I chose 2x HD6990s for my three screens, and topped it off with a gtx460 for the few games that take advantage of physX(hybrid PhysX).... the GPUs compliment the i7 980X nicely though. According to this, I shouldnt have any trouble running it maxed... unless the drivers arent up to snuff.
Ha, I know right? At least I can say I tried.
