Beautiful lighting, though a few DX11 features seem to be absent, perhaps due to the resolution of the screen grabs. Very nice none the less. I wonder what frame rates I could pull with my rig in DX10. I get 62fps average in Crysis all high settings, x4FSAA, DX10, 1920x1080. I get 36fps average on all very high settings, 4xFSAA, DX10, 1920x1080. So I'm curious to say the least.
Apparently I lied to you. According to the Crysis Benchmark utility, I average 62 frames per second with my setup. DX10, 4xAA, High settings, 1920x1080. So, if I have problems with DX10 mode, I know what it will be. Both of these GTX260s in SLI are overclocked, and my i7 860 can hit 4.21ghz stable, but I usually use 4.15ghz for gaming and benching. I can provide proof to anyone of all of this. My score for 3dMark06 with my old motherboard was 26,616
If you want, I have no problem with posting pics and synthetic benchmark results. In fact here is my ORB verified 3DMark06 score before I upgraded(mobo, HDD, and videocards) yesterday. http://service.futuremark.c... . I also run The Witcher:Enhanced Edition, and Gothic 3(extremely un-optimized code) at max with way over 60fps at 1920*1080, so if I have problems with Metro 2033, then I can very eas...
MSI Big Bang Trinergy
Intel Core i7 860 @4.15 ghz
8gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600
Two 1tb 7200rpm drives in RAID0
Two overclocked GTX260s in SLI plus a 9800gt 1gb(OC) for physx(x16,x8,x8)thats 544 gpu processor cores
1000w quad SLI Certified PSU
Windows 7 64-bit
So if I have any problems with running this game, I'll know that it's very poor optimization. I get a steady 45-58fps in Crysis, maxed out 4xMSAA, 1920*1080(DX10). Previously with the cpu @ ...
I stated about two to three years ago that the only way to hack the PS3 or implement non-native code was to bypass or disable temporarily the on-die security method (the SPU dedicated to the hypervisor), it looks like he is on the right track, but as much as I would like to see a Dreamcast emulator on the PS3 (I have the original games on their respective GD-ROMs before you ask), I know that I cannot have that without the possibility of piracy on the platform. Homebrew is great, but the side-...
The real Demon's Souls starts here....
Every time I read a message on the ground, it's like opening a fortune cookie.
I will continue to play my xbox even after this happens. The reason I sold my 360 and went back to the original was due to reliability issues as well as my favorite games not having BC support(i.e. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Otogi: Myth of Demons, Otogi 2, Deus Ex: Invisible War, and the list goes on and on). Battlefield 2 will be affected by this, but no worries here, I still love SP. I understand Microsoft's position in this matter, and I have no problems with it, but if they really want t...
It seems the magical disagree fairy is on the loose again. Out of her cage, away from her medications, and the proud owner of a new-found love for multiple disagrees without any substance whatsoever. She carries the heaviest burden of stealth disagreeing with everyone that she deems a nasty fanboy, solely because they say what she doesn't want to hear. Truly if it were some other reason, or even a person worth listening to, they would surely leave their reason for disagreeing.

Though not by bungie, the game has striking resemblance and plays like CE. It's called N.O.V.A.(Near Orbital Vanguard Alliance)by Gameloft. I have it for my 3GS, and the game is awesome for the platform. I have no doubts though, that nobody does Halo, like the masters themselves....Bungie.
This is an invaluable resource to all owners including myself. I hope to see apps that take full advantage of my 3GS soon. It's kind of funny really. I liken my browsing of the appstore to accidentally dropping my last quarter in the toilet before I've had the chance to flush. In order to find my quarter, I have to sift through the muck, much like looking for a good game or app amongst the thousands of useless, and copyright infringing apps and games available. I dont know how many times I've...

As for Bioshock 1, PS3 owners had to deal with denial after denial. We waited a year for a port with muddy textures, and lower resolution than it's 360 counterpart, not to mention the lack of anti-aliasing. The demo showed a lack of focus and QA on the dev's part(i.e. the big daddy under the waterfall without textures or bump-maps), granted that was brought to their attention and sorted out, but it just wasn't the same experience as the earlier renditions. The additional content only served a...
Well there goes the uncanny valley, next the neighborhood. I am impressed, she is a beautiful girl, both in the tangible, and the digital sense. Great job Quantic Dream. Day one, this game will be burning up my bluray drive(PS3).
With the exception of the desire to see the classics remade, it was said in jest, with a dash of sarcasm. I still play gamecube for pity's sake.
I liked what I saw, and I am excited for this game. I think that these people that never intended on buying this game or owning the system that it's on, are suspending themselves in a very revealing light by coming here, and showing interest in this game by elevating any faults they think this game possesses. Even bad press is exposure, so I would like to thank all these fans that commented, originally intending to throw mud at this diamond in the rough, but instead helped expose it to a wide...
Genres go to the Wii to die. Anything not made by Nintendo, seems to die in the barren wasteland of failed development attempts that the media kindly call the Wii. I love my Gamecube, though. The thought of some of Lucas Arts' old games remade, like Full Throttle, Beneath a Steel Sky, and Flight of the Amazon Queen, in HD with revamped controls, would be very awesome. This has been another exciting edition of, my own personal opinion....thank you for reading, and have a good night.

What is even more interesting to me, is that the games were even able to run at an acceptable resolution and framerate, when taking into account the substantial differences in the core and auxiliary architecture. It speaks volumes when the platform that is easier to integrate, compile, and port almost directly from pc has more games akin in function to those of the primary development platform. Weird, huh? Who ...
That was a very thorough description of scaling, post, and anti-aliasing techniques in games. I also found it interesting that the PS3 has 27 (twenty-seven)games that run in native(not upscaled) 1920*1080 progressive resolution, versus 4 on the Xbox 360. I know there are more games than what was listed, but that's pretty thorough. How often do they update that page?
Well it certainly does not look good for the Fermi arch, if all of this is true. Real enthusiasts know that high temps and power consumption arent a good thing. I love my 2 GTX260s, and if I upgrade to Fermi, it may be after Nvidia sorts out the heat and power problems. It really says alot when your new flagship class gpu is only 5%-10% faster than the competition's, but has twice the heat, and almost twice the power draw. My system could handle it, but this is outrageous to expect consumers ...
