Most likely now we'll see gameplay at E3 2017. Hopefully with a good release date.
Damn 5 million copies already. Beast mode.
Let's address the big pink elephant in the room, price! PSVR is highly expensive for being an add-on peripheral and there was very little to no advertisements for deals throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday. My eyeballs were assaulted with the vast amount of PS4 slim, PS4 Pro, and various XB1S SKU deals. I saw nothing for $399. If there were any, a terrible job was done pushing the information out.
At $399 PSVR is a tough sell to meet the sales target people expect. ...
At $399 it's a tough sell. I also didn't any Black Friday deals for PSVR. If there were any, then the deals were poorly advertised.
I just think this game is just tarnished with all the negativity behind it. The developers and Sony should of been more upfront. If this game was meant to grow over time and morph into something better in the long run than that should of been conveyed from the start.
This game will still have a dedicated fanbase just not a huge one.
PS3 at the price point of $599 did not sell well at all. Look at April NPD 2007. The PS3 only sold 82K. To show how bad that is, the Gameboy Advance which came out in 2001, sold 84K during April NPG 2007. A 6 year old outdated handheld (outdated because the DS was out) outsold a brand new PS3 with a brand new blu-ray player installed.
$500 will be a tough sell. $600..oh forget about it. That would be disastrous.
You're looking at it as it's a certain for Xbox when it's not. Since when do $500 consoles of any brand perform well? Microsoft was selling the XB1 with Kinect for $500 and they said Kinect will never be sold separately. Look what happened 6 months after launch, Kinect was sold separately and MS started selling the XB1 for $350. that was just in 6 months.
At this point in time $500 consoles don't sell well and you can't expect gamers to wait 2 years for ...
I love troll commentators such as yourself. You actually are trying to convince people you see a difference between XB1S (1.4 TFLOPS) vs XB1 (1.3 TFLOPS) but no difference between Pro (4.2 TFLOPS) vs PS4 (1.8 TFLOPS). Yeah ok.
You just opened the door for people to say they don't see a difference between a Scorpio (6TFLOPS) vs a Pro (4.2TFLOPS) a year from now. Live by the sword die by the sword I guess.
So far with games that are post October releases developers have pledged Pro support. Day one of Pro being released already has more support with games in HDR than XB1S to which XB1S has been out since August.
Microsoft hasn't even updated one, not a single one of their exclusive backlog titles in HDR while Sony was able to get games that came out two years ago (Infamous, Shadow of Mordor) to support Pro and HDR among others. Black Ops 3 has Pro support and HDR. Where ...
No it means the game will either have Pro support day one or shortly after. Pro owners won't have a huge window of waiting for patched pro support like with older games because the newer ones are mandated to support pro. So they either support Pro day one or shortly thereafter.
But it's not a time limit to where if it doesn't get updated within the window it never will. That doesn't make sense at all. Why would a time limit stop a game from getting Pro supp...
Look at the official FAQ from Sony it doesn't say anything about a December deadline. It says games will either support pro from that start or shortly after via a patch.
And I agree about it really isn't an interpretive statement. That's I just go buy game release and so far HDR games have been more on track on the Pro that what I have seen from XB1S. Especially given that the Pro is only a week old while XB1S has been out since August. So with that I think Son...
There is no way the Scorpio will come out at $399. Look at the XB1S launch. A 500GB model launched at $299. Most of the tech of the XB1S is old. For only $100 more you can get a Vega GPU and a Zen Core GPU and 12GB of RAM?
Just look at the PS4 Pro. Same Jaguar core design that is 3 years old, same amount of RAM only beefed up and the only thing new is a the low end Polaris GPU and that still cost $399. You guys think brand new GPU, brand new CPU and 12GB of RAM will cost t...
The problem is you see Pro support and HDR as two separate requirements for PS4 Pro when they're not. Pro support mean taking advantage of the hardware for both resolution, graphics and HDR. It's one package. Again this is specifically for Pro. PS4 Vanilla and Slim is a different story and don't know how Sony is handling that. But Pro support includes HDR as well.
Currently BF1 does not support HDR on XB1. Can it be updated sure. Will it? I don't know. Cons...
I think it's comes down to interpretation. I read it as it is mandated. The games prior released Sony wrote "if they choose to". But for future released titles "if they choose to" wasn't stated. I see that as not optional for future release.
Watchdogs 2 doesn't have HDR at launch but it will which goes in line with what Sony stated "will be able to take advantage of PS4 Pro capabilities on day one, or in some cases shortly after launch v...
No problem. Here is the link. blog.us.playstation.com/2016/0 9/08/ps4-pro-the-ultimate-faq/
I would like you to take a look at two specific FAQs.
"Q: Will PS4 Pro have separate or exclusive games?
There will not be any PS4 Pro-exclusive games. Because PS4 Pro and the standard PS4 are members of the same family, both systems will be fully compatible with all past, present, and future PS4 titles, including PlayStation VR. All PS4 games are P...
XB1S is HDR capable but surely lacking in content. The console has been out since August and to date XB1S has 4 or 5 games that are HDR enable. PS4Pro had 30+ games enable in HDR day one to include some of the biggest titles this hoiiday (BF1, TF2, Watchdogs 2, COD). Sony also pushed out a policy that all games post October release must support all of PS4Pros features. No such policy from Microsoft.
Again, XB1S is HDR capable but lacks content and also lacks the drive to pu...
Really? I haven't played the final game but read many people who played it said the game is much better than what the beta showed. You're actually the first person to tell me it's the same.
It's clear that BF1 swallowed TF2. There are way too many Multiplayer games packed in one small window. Between BF1, COD and TF2 on all platforms then add Gears of War 4 for Xbox/PC platforms. TF2 got the short end of the stick.
Also the stress test didn't do TF2 any favors either. Lots of gamers were not impressed with the beta. Many felt it was COD. Grant it, the final product is amazing but bad first impressions is very difficult to overcome. The game should of ...
Scorpio will be $499 minimum. No chance of $399. Look at what we have now.
1. XB1S 500GB launched at $299. You're telling me it will only cost $100 to bump it up to Scorpio specs in just a year timeframe?
2. Look at the PS4 Pro. It still uses the Jaguar cores as a CPU (3 year old tech), same amount of RAM. The only thing new is the wifi card (which is old in general), the network card (old in general) and the GPU based on the low end Polaris architect...
Releasing another BF would of been ridiculous. A Battlefront 2 is all they need.
