No, what's separating them is 1.8 Tflops of GPU power, and an extra 4 GB of RAM. Nobody should be surprised by these results.
When I buy a CoD game, I buy it for TDM and single player. Often times, the single player ends up being the main draw. If this game is multiplayer only, then there will be nothing interesting about it. This will mark the year that CoD went the way of the dodo bird.
If you're talking hardware and features, then I agree. I would also say that Sony has not managed to make a multiplayer game anywhere near as good as Halo 5, Halo MCC or Gears 4.
This game looks like it's just as fun as L4D, and with pretty much the exact same gameplay. It's cool that it's aliens, instead of zombies for a change, but hopefully we'll see L4d3 at some point in the future too.
I can't stand Cliffy B. He got lucky with Gears of War, but he has since completely petered out, and has no gas left in the tank.
This should be the end of the franchise, I'm out.
It's not much different than signing into Uplay or EA Origin/Battlelog on all platforms.
Somehow I don't think his regrets are genuine.
It hasn't been for sale in Canada for at least the last 3 years, so it's been dead here for quite some time.
This is really the only off-shoot in the series that matters anymore, so hopefully they'll deliver a better game than Black Ops 3. I don't think Activision is going to do anything more with Modern Warfare, which is unfortunate. Advanced Warfare was actually really good, except half of the multi-player maps played like crap, in terms of the map design.
I'd like to se Sony do this on their own, and come out with a proper digital marketplace on PC. Consoles will always be around in some form, but PC is the future.
At least one site has actually looked at this game in a critical manor. It seems like every site out there refused to score this game within the context of it being part of the God of War series. Everything about this game is different than the previous games.
If this game weren't called God of War, then it may very well have deserved the high scores, but when the series is built on a certain formula, and you literally take everything that the game was built on and thro...
I might just have to get back into this game. This new content looks pretty cool.
I've never heard of Earthfall, but I'll have to check it out.
I'm hoping for more of a Left 4 Dead spiritual successor, but time will tell.
I for one, am glad that they didn't go political with this game. Hollywood is biased enough, we don't need the gaming industry to become consumed by one political left leaning ideology. I was waiting to see what the narrative of the game would actually be, and it turns out that the game is yet another fantastic game in the series. Looks like I'm going to be purchasing this game soon :)
Then there's the PSP to PS Vita comparison, which backs up your what you're saying. I love and still own my PSP, but never saw much of a reason to buy the Vita, other than Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Killzone: Mercenary, but 2 games aren't enough to justify that purchase. Even though the PS3 was considered a failure for the first couple of years, it was my favorite console to date. I'd say the PS2 was 2nd, and the NES was 3rd place for me.
If they deliver a new Resistance game next gen, along with a Syphon Filter game, a proper Killzone game, and a revival of the Socom series with the features that the real Socom community actually want, then the PS5 will be fantastic.
I bought this game on sale 6 months ago, and still haven't gotten around to playing it yet :/
Keep your kids away from this pretend scientist/ propagandist.
