The first and 2nd games were awesome, but the 3rd was a massive let-down, mainly because they screwed up the ending of the game, and the multi-player was tacked on. I'd be all over a remaster of the first two games like a fat kid on a smartie.
I'd love to see them build a billion dollar Windows 10 PC gaming business too.
I loved the first one, so QB2 will be a day one purchase for me.
Wow, I might have to finally get myself a One X. Nobody makes cooler limited edition consoles than Microsoft.
Thanks, I try my best.
Well this should shut down all of the nay sayers who keep suggesting that Xbox is doomed and that they won't be around for much longer "if this keeps up". I suppose I shouldn't hold my breath though, since we have so many people out there who don't care about facts.
I really hope this game is as good as the last two games.
In terms of release, there's no difference from what Sony did with the PS4 Pro. The only real difference however, is that Microsoft provided a console that can perform in native 4K with most games, which means that it's practically a next gen console anyway. No doubt, the Xbox One X will play the role that the current base Xbox One is playing right now, where they will both get all the new releases, and they will both be fully backwards compatible.
Yes it will sick without single player. If I want to play battle royal, I'll stick with PUBG. I play CoD for quick TDM matches, co-op and single player. If you take one of those elements out of the package, it no longer seems like good value to me. Historically, the best selling CoD games also had the best single player campaigns.
You can talk over the phone on the Xbox app also. There have been times recently where I've been driving home from work, while talking in party chat on my phone.
It can be budget friendly if you don't blow your mony on dlc and micro-transactions. Not to mention that there are so many games that come out every year, that you really need to pick and choose carefully where to spend your money.
The single player was the most interesting part of the Black Ops series. I particularly loved Black Ops 2's campaign.
I think that this move is an indication that they no longer have the talent to put a great campaign together.
CoD4 and MW2 would not have been anywhere near the classics that they are without the single player campaign. Even WaW had a kick ass campaign,n which are you could play online with 4 players, which made it even better.
Well said!
Valve buying a studio is unexpected and interesting at the same time. I wonder if we would ever see any Steam exclusive content, despite the fact that I've heard that Gabe doesn't believe in exclusive content. However, there wouldn't be much of a point to buying a studio, if said studio would be releasing content on Steam anyway.
@ BlackTar187
Not at all, I'm a big fan myself.
Well what do you think? Is the weaker hardware supposed to give you the best console experience?
Somebody get Corey Barlog and the gang over at Kotaku a round of soy lattes.
@ Septic
Are you a Jordan Peterson fan?
I agree that Microsoft has been lacking with exclusives, which is a sore point, although, there is still a steady flow of great games all the time from 3rd party publishers, so it isn't the end of the world. However, with regards to hardware and what they're doing with network services, game pass, cross-play with PC, cross-chat with PC and the smart phone app, they are far better situated to offer the best console gaming experience and all around network experience over the long run. ...
