That was my first impression as well. But sometimes first impressions kick you in the butt. This game is extremely fun if you play it right. If you just try to farm bots, you won't get much XP, your Titan will take longer to build, and your team will probably lose.

The game plays a lot like Assasins Creed MP. Just look for the enemy that moves differently from the rest and that's the human.
And yeah, the sniper rifle is nice. Not sure if it's over powered though, maybe. I'm good at long range but suck up close. Then again, I was never great with sniper rifles.
This game is a blast to play. The complaints about the A.I. is accurate. The grunts die extremely fast but if they were smarter, it would take more time to kill them....
The grunts come in groups of 4 or 5 sometimes with a spectre. They are really easy to kill but if a human opponent is in the mix, the bots can distract you from killing the human. It kind of reminds me of the mp in Assassins creed, the way the player blends in with the A.I.
I think people are using the bots wrong. Yes, they are easy to kill but so are the minions in a MOBA game like DOTA 2 or League of Legends. The bots in Titanfall should be used in a similar manner. Avoid killing bots when humans are around. Use the bots as a distraction. Pay attention to who is shooting at the bots. And pay attention to the names above the enemies. It will say grunt, specter, or the name of the human player.

I played a little last night and the bots are not a problem. I ended up killing more humans and titans than bots. It is such a great game.
The beta is to test Titanfall, not Microsoft's Azure cloud. Microsoft should have tested they're servers before telling developers they work fine.
The feedback about the servers should be directed to Microsoft, not Respawn. It's not their fault that Microsoft dropped the ball.
I know Titanfall is in a beta but The Xbox One and the cloud are not in a beta. These issues should not be happening. Not in a Alpha, Beta, or finished game.
Some generous person gave me a code about 30 minutes ago.
When I wished for a code I think I should have been a bit more specific. I should have wished to be able to play the game when I got the code. These downed servers are killing me. Jk. I'm happy with just having the code because I know the servers will be back up soon.

Do you find that the grunts can be used in different ways than cannon fodder; I.e. Bait, distractions, meat shields?
Fishing sounds awesome. I hope you have better luck catching fish tomorrow than you have had getting a code. Maybe when you get home from your trip, a code will be waiting for you.

What camera? The Oculus Rift makes your head the "camera". I'm sorry, but I'm not Reagan in the Exorcist. Even if I turned the camera around and walked forward, I would be walking forward not backwards. Sometimes you need to look at something while walking backward.
Walking while holding a button to run is counter intuitive. I assumed you would stomp faster but they didn't demonstrate or mention how to run in the video.

Exactly, this is the kind of game where graphics take third before gameplay and controls. The fun factor and replayability seem extremely high in this first title from Respawn Entertainment.

It seems very counter intuitive.
It looks hectic. People complain about the 6v6, and they may have a point But they're missing something. It's not just 6v6, there's bots to fill the empty space. Also, when the Titans come in, there can appear to be more than 6v6 when the Titans are on autopilot. With all Titans in play with the pilots running about, there can be what seems like 12v12. 6 pilots and 6 Titans per team. This may be the reason why they decided on 6v6.
The game is extremely fun. For me, the hype is real. The people that don't want the bots, get 12 people and play a game with no one calling in titans and see how it plays out. Also, try not to shoot bots, if you can, only shoot at enemies with a Gamertag above their head.
I like the bots. They fit this game. If it was just regular 6v6, the maps would be half empty. For an example of scale, play 6v6 or even 12v12 in BF4 on Caspian Border or another large map.
