I think it’s going to be unavoidable that the upcoming games from Chinese developers are always gonna have that undercurrent of government influence. There is no aspect of this game that core gamers are not sick of in 2024. You could maybe get away with one or two, but not all.
But this is what happens when you chase trends in a medium that takes 6 years to complete projects.
Feel like there’s several more big Chinese studio games in the pipe as well, so I imagine it will continue.

I feel like anything using UE5 this gen is gunna have real issues hitting 60FPS on consoles. That seems to be the theme I’m seeing. The consoles can’t seem to have their cake and eat it too, if you want Nanite, Lumen, or ray tracing, 60FPS doesn’t seem to be on the table this gen. It’s a big deal that these exclusives are coming, but I’m still curious to see if a Halo or a Gears comes over, simply since they are so symbolic of Xbox and its fan base.
