What the hell is with these publishers thinking they could even begin to supply enough content to warrant a subscription?
I think there are really good uses for it. But I have no faith that those will be the uses the big companies use, most likely they will just use it to steal peoples work and not pay developers. I think in ten years there will be AAA and indies, but there will also be AI heavy slop contrasted against “Made by Humans” games. There might be a “No AI was Used” label, similarly to “No Animals were Harmed.”
Microsoft is already exiting the traditional console market, they realized they couldn’t win the game years ago and so they’ve decided to make up their own game. Time will tell if it works. I think it’s not a bad idea given the landscape; but I have very little faith Microsoft can execute. For the health of the industry at large though I hope they figure it out.
Good. Indy looks great and I’m looking forward to playing it, but I’d to see Machine Games getting stuck making just Indiana Jones games

I LOVE Wukong. But it honestly didn’t deserve game of the year. Just because it was hugely popular doesn’t make it more worthy. The game has some serious design issues, especially later in the game, tons of dead space, invisible walls, whole game should have been shrunk in scale by about 25%. Super stoked to see this. Onimusha has been gone far too long. I filled out the questionnaire that Capcom sent out, a while back, I put Onimusha as the game I’d most like to see them revive. Guess I wasn’t the only one.
Not usually my bag, but this actually looks kind of creative, incorporating like old school cheats into competitive multiplayer, it’s a good idea. Just have to see if they can execute

A steelbook with a digital code is a special kind of stupid. Is it gunna have the thing inside to hold the disc that doesn’t exist? Do they expect you’ll go buy a separate physical copy in addition to spending $95?

It feels like this should somehow be illegal. Not sure how or exactly why, but it’s got an ick factor of like 9000.
I started it because it hit PS Plus, I’m an American and I put the dialogue on Japanese with English subtitles, helps a lot. I get that some people that don’t like that idea, but it’s been helpful for me to avoid cringey dialogue in certain games. I did the same thing in Atomic Heart, since I don’t speak Russian, whatever “crispy critters” is in Russian doesn’t irritate me 😂.
