How on earth could they keep any credibility with articles like that? This is just an attempt to get a few extra hits on their site. Sad, very sad....
Isn't that always the case? Look at the film industry, 1 film comes out and take millions at the box office, a year or two passes and then another bigger movie comes along and beats it. It's the nature of the industry.
The same applies to games. The question is how long will it be before "any game breaks the 'GTA IV' sales records?"
Not a lot of people buy a PS3 game just before the board a tube or bus home.
COD4 comes to mind with that post. Game never worked properly for me. I emailed Activision and Infinity Ward yet they never sorted it. Frustratedly waiting for a patch to come out and when it does it still doesn't address the problem.
EA are the masters when it come to this kind of customer service and the releasing of a barely finished product.

He is now running EA and we all know how bad EA have gotten over the last few years. How many of their games are released full of bugs and glitches becuaes of the rush to release them? He is hardly the man to hire to sort these out now, is he?
I wonder if Peters appointment at EA was a good idea? This man was involved with MS and the 360 when it was lauched. How much input did he have in rushing that console out? Look at the hardware failier rate when he was at the helm.
People keep mentioning the DLC. I bought GTA IV the day it came out (like millions of others), but I usually don't buy the DLC for any games I buy because it's not like I can sell it on afterwards. When I eventually complete GTA IV, I will trading it in off the next big game out. What good is the DLC to me then?
I am sure there are many more like me out there that don't buy DLC for games for the same reason.
I've only had one freeze and it was just a matter of resetting the machine. I own a 60gig Euro lauch model. It runs perfectly and that includes the online mode.
I had terrible problems with COD4 on the PS3 and it still isn't sorted to this day,(I was stuck with the default weapons all the way through the multiplayer online to the 1st prestige)so my heart goes out to anyone suffering this repeated problem.

I'm surprised that MS just didn't build the 360 with the HD DVD drive and use the bigger disc for the storage for their games since the studios went Bluray.
I'm not going to risk a cent on one model untill it's tried,tested, cheaper with a blu ray drive and wi-fi.

I only posted this last night, I played about 2hrs of GTA and it froze on me! I've about 26% complete. Typical! I worked fine then after I rebooted the PS3 and there have been no problems since. (Fingers Crossed)
I'd be interested to see how quickly this is addressed. I had tons of problems with COD4 and no amount of emails to Activision or Infinity Ward got them addressed. I know how frustrating it is having a game you bought that wont run properly. 75 Euros it cost for COD4.

We are talking a hardware failure (360) vs a software issue (PS3).
Give it up man, the 360 was great when it was the only console available in this generation. Its been passed and shown up as a badly designed badly tested machine with more issues than Britney Spears.

You've said it all with that post. I couldn't stand FPS's until I played Goldeneye (N64) and I been a convert ever since. COD4 is most definitly getting traded for this game. Free Radical Rocks! They are masters of the FPS genre!
Does this game look any different from 2008 or 2007? I don't think so. This franchise has been on the way down since 2005. It did have some great courses like black rock cove and the predator but EA just seem to make changes to the game play for the sake of change and ditched the fantasy courses. I would have been one of the people that bought the game every year since the franchise was launched but I have lost interest in this game due to the constant changes implemented.

With the current rate of 360 failure\wear out and the lack of any serious console innovation from MS, combined with a upcoming PS3 price cut and its future games library; how long before the 360 install base in the USA starts buying PS3's?
How many 360's will be still running in 3,4 or 5 years?
