Vista, Windows ME +1
I don't have a mic and I wasn't asked to leave. People understood at my apt I'm on NAT 3 connection and no matter how many times I try to connect using a mic it won't load. That's not an invite to go and say "Oh well get better internet" or "well play another game." I still follow orders and I do know what I'm doing.
I wonder how much they paid her to say shes into gaming?
You have to realize there's a difference between playing games and actually being a gamer. Its the same concept as cars - you have someone who knows what they are talking about and someone who just drives what they like. Its the same as "gamer girls." They play games; I have yet to actually meet a "straight" gamer girl who knows their stuff and not just "play games."
And I still stand by they don't exist.
The day home comes out Myspace, Facebook, IMVU, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo Messenger will all suffer the same fate.... DELETED.
.....
And then he woke up..
For the record...
Gamer girls STILL do not exist, and the whole 2% that do are either bisexual or lesbian (which I have a cam to record)
Seriously I hate how they try to say "Oh we exist" when playing DDR, Guitar Hero (or Rock Band), or even WoW automatically puts them in a gamer category.
Oh look, another wanna-be Napster case. I get so sick of companies blaming P2P when they don't make millions. Everyone knows its companies that spend a whole $15 to make a garbage game, and complain because no one cares for it. First it was the music industry, now its gaming, whats next, porno industry?
Stories like this make me glad I'm a console gamer where I can choose to buy/trade games as I want, not keep an expensive drink coaster if I don't like the game.
Who cares who wins? In the end its based on the consumer, which I kept the PS3 and sold off the Wii and the 360.
It's interesting how far these posts will go just to get either hits or a good laugh out of people who will argue their console is better.
I bet the 64% who quit probably figured DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) to be much better in the long run since it actually drives you to beat Legend of Max and Paranoia 290 on Oni Mode. Seriously how fun can it be to do yoga in front of the tv with a virtual avatar instead of actually dancing to some good music?
Female gamers are still a myth
Anyways there are female gamers in WoW; on the other end of the character is a 32+ year old 400+ lb idiot who lives in his mommys basement.
On Xbox you can use your own digital camera to upload pics, I've done it to my background, planning on doing the same with my pic (currently its Akuma).
As far as pics and avatars who cares, last time I checked they had 0 to do with how people play games, and if people get offended just use the block/ban.
I work like this:
All gamers are male until proven otherwise, play some online games you will see what I'm talking about.
Really though I have yet to meet an actual gamer chick, I've met countless females who hate, despise, even talk down video games. The closest gamer chick I've ran into played DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) and even then it was to see what the craze was about it. A lot of people think playing WoW counts because its a video game, which is really an ...
Gamer girls are a myth, and this girl is trying to boost the confidence of gamers who are either too shy or who never had a real relationship outside the controller.
Sorry but I don't buy into this story.
Then make affordable games people will buy, or at least add features that will help drive sales which will discourage modding.
I know people who have more downloaded games/programs on their PSP than actually playing the UMD's, and the games they play aren't available anymore or are imports.
Oh and if the system isn't made for modding, then stop encouraging it by releasing 16+ GB Memory Sticks.
I had a DS at one time to play Pokemon Diamond and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3; after about 3 weeks I sold it since I didn't really see any reason to keep it. I still have my PSP Slim and enjoy it.
A lot of people favor the PSP more since its easier to "hack" and add homebrew which will extend the life of the system way beyond the DS.
Another reason why I'm glad to own PS3 and the 360. A lot of people these days think its a sin to try another console to "test" the hardware, public preferences, and if there's a future for other games on that console.
However Square lost their touch after siding with Enix; a lot of people can argue to no end of all these games coming out however the real question is "what does the public want?"
I HATED 12, it was basically an off line version of 11 without Taru's, and Galka. If 13 is garbage I will lose all faith in Square and boycott all future games they produce; ever since they merged with Enix I have yet to play a decent game that was made from the ground-up (the remake of Xenogears and Final Fantasy Anthologies did make my day).
E3 better have something decent I would hate to boycott the company that produced Chrono Trigger.
The main problem here is a lot of the 360 crowd is gonna be like "Oh another game ported to the 360" and start that whole argument again.
I had the ps3 version and enjoyed it (Beat the game within 3 days), the 360 version I'd consider playing (not buying) IF they have mod support, which for now it seems like there's 0.
Apparently someone has far too much time on their hands to try and limit "gamers." Everyone's opinion about "gamers" is different; why not just post the difference between a gamer and a non-gamer.
