Persona 5 gets better the longer you play it. All the Persona games do really, but 5 really hits it's stride like 2/3rds of the way through and goes out strong.

My favorite part of Burnout is the racing. As much as I want to see the studio succeed, I'm not paying 15 bucks for burnout 3s crash mode.

If by Red Dead Redemption you mean Fallout New Vegas, then I agree.

It's well written but the point it's attempting to make is flat out wrong.

For example, say we were to make "movie: The game." It uses all the same cinematography tricks and story telling techniques as a movies. It could still be enhanced by being a game. Know what's more gutwrenching than, say, seeing someone have to kill their daughter because she got bit by a zombie? Having to be put directly in the parents shoes by making the player press the butt...

Ah cultural reletavism. I don't actually care if or how it makes sense using other peoples morals and culture, and when other peoples morals and culture are hurting or oppressing people then yeah they should think like I do.

As for the artilce, the premise is extremely flawed. I suppose Persona 3 Portable normalizes female entitlement? I suppose Fallout 4 and Dragon Age 2 normalize female entitlement? I suppose the Sims normalizes female entitlements? The Author even go...

I blame Sega meddling. Atlus didn't do this crap pre-Sega. Sega doesn't have EAs reputation for completely ruining everything they touch, so maybe this is as far as they go, but stay vigilant about this crap because if Sega thinks they can get away with more messing with Atlus they *will* try it, just like every other major publisher.

Platinum could buy the rights back. or there could have been a time limit on how long Nintendo owns said rights put in the contract, or Sega could have bought the rights. Companies have done it before. We don't know the details of the original deal or any other hypothetical deal that took place, so we don't know.

So it can happen. May not, but can.

Nice strawman.

What was said wasnt "skip the switch" it was "I would rather play it on another system."

Not only are graphics not a poor reason for a spectacle fighter, but given how weak the switch is compared to the other modern consoles (and the fact that bayonetta is an action game) framerate is also a big concern.

Even with that out of the way, yes there *is* reason to wish it skips the weakest console. If it ...

They've already lives up to that potential It's named Vampire - The Masquerade: Bloodlines,, and therei's basically no point trying to surpass it.

It's to vampire games what The Godfather is to crime dramas. You can't beat it, find something else to do. Any direct comparisons will make your thing look like garbage.

@bolimekurac
All things being equal, 1080p is superior to 900p, and 4k is superior to both. When we're talking about 4k gaming on anything less than dual 1080tis, all things are not rarely equal. Not only did I not say there is no difference, I outright stated that there *IS* a difference and then described how the differences make 1080p or 1440p look better.

@Starchild
You still have to be able to process that data and get it on screen. In most case...

Turn10 is owned by MS. By definition, they are not trustworthy when talking about MS hardware/software. Chances are, they're literally not allowed to say anything even slightly critical, possibly not allowed to say anything at all without MS approval.

Also, that article doesn't imply what you claim it does.

Forza *already* does 4k/60fps, but if you bother to check there are *serious* sacrifices necessary to do it, including tricks with the framera...

I didn't say just as good. I said just as good at typical viewing distances for TVs. I have a 4k TV, the only thing that is obviously better at 4k from my 10 foot viewing distance is particle effects.

And yeah, if I have to pick between 1080p or 1440p with all of the settings maxed, and 4k/30 or 4k/60 with settings turned down, the lower resolutions almost always look better. Rendering super low res textures in 4k still makes them super low res textures, and now you get...

It's not really accurate. PR speak.

12GB (or the 8 the developers have access too) of ram doesn't really do a whole lot. It's one of those things where if you're filling that much ram with a single (current) game, then chances are your CPU is too slow or your memory bandwidth is too low and the extra space isn't going to stop the performance tanking. Computers can justify having 16, but that's mostly to keep background processes eating all the ram a...

I don't see a problem either. I don't care if a game has something to say or not (though if it does I do care what it says.) I was more commenting on the idea that you can't pervert a game that is all about real world ideological conflicts with "ideological nonsense."

Atlus may or may not have done it on purpose, I have no idea, but many of the problems they talk about are not really problem exclusive to Japan. . Places with decent birthrates still man...

No, those are the only 2. If it was a point worth making, and it wasn't made, it obviously wasn't worth making. Wether anyone would actually agree with it if it was made doesn't matter to that point.

Only other reason is that there isn't a proper reason.

I say for the millionth time. If you disagree, and do not leave a comment explaining what you disagree with and why, you either don't have a point worth making, or you're a moron disagreeing based on something other than the actual argument.

Yes it is. Even if Rockstar themselves don't release it, emulators will inevitably be able to play it, especially given how similar current console hardware is to PC hardware. Just takes time. Not like there is a shortage of good games to play in the mean time.

It has literally nothing to do with SJWs. It (and the persona series in general) actually have a left leaning ideology on a number of topics, especially given Japans tendancy towards being socially conservative. I can think of 1 thing (literally, exactly 1) I have a problem with as far as representation goes, and that is that (to my knowledge) (and I'm 75 hours in) every instance of a gay character and the implication of a gay character is played for laughs, and 2 of the 3 total instances...

I'm confused. The Persona (and wider SMT) series is comprised of 80% ideoloical "nonsense." Really, really unsubtle ideological "nonsense." It's perhaps the most intensely political game that's not explicitly about some form politics.

Like, remember that time you literally killed the Jewish/Christian god? Not even a joke, you actually do that in like 3 or 4 of the games in the series. How much more explicit of a metaphor can "helping ot...

Uh, no.
Linear: Along or comprised of lines. (note, lines don't have to be straight.)

Open world: free roam, or (more loosely) sandbox are terms for video games where a player can move freely through a virtual world and is given considerable freedom in regard to how and when to approach particular objectives

You don't have a real choice in direction, you have a choice in which linear path to take. Best case (for your open world argument...
