More like 500-600. Basically the same price as the Xbone X.
https://pcpartpicker.com/li...

That's actually better than the Xbone X BTW. The 1060 tends to be slightly inferior to the 480 when memory becomes an issue and/or in DX 12 games, but it can be overclocked to be better (where the 480 really can't.) Combine that with a CPU that will run circles around the Jaguar (by virtue of being li...

Wifi cards/antennas are like 15 bucks.
You don't need bluetooth anything.
WTF is a 4k drive? If you mean a blueray drive, you don't need one, blue rays tend to come with keys that will allow you to download a copy of the movie.
Linux is free and windows keys are like 10 bucks on ebay
a keyboard and mouse are like 15 bucks.
everybody already has hdmi cables.
you don't need internal lighting.

That's, in order, a strawman, a dodge, a personal attack, and moving the goalposts.

The fact is, multiplayer, *especially* in a game series that doesn't already have a firm basis, eats time and resources that could be spent further developing the singleplayer. The fact is, a multipler focus (instead of just a mode) not only has the same issue but runs a significant risk of noticably compromising the single player experience. The fact is, many genres simply do not le...

For 1, you literally said "Okay, Princess, if Driving games aren't that demanding, then it shouldn't have been a problem or Polyphony to have gotten GT at least stable at 60 fps by now, and also hit 4K" which is the point I was addressing with my PS4 pro/ GT statemtns.

I didn't say it can't do 4k/30. That's a strawman. I said 2 things:
1: you can't use racing games that are notorious for being the best looking games of every gene...

No, he's not, and you know nothing about PC gaming.

Here you go. 580 USD, with the same power as the Xbone X. (Actually more, because the CPU isn't that POS jaguar) https://pcpartpicker.com/li...
Before you comment on the extra 80 USD, PC online is free so the PC is actually cheaper. We can have the "but free games" debate if you want, but that doesn't change that the PC is ch...

That's not an argument. Just because game type X is generally less demanding doesn't mean every example of said genre can hit arbitrary benchmarks with arbitrary hardware. So no, just because racing games are less demanding doesn't mean there is "no trouble" hitting 4k/60.

Also, 70% GPU usage on 6 TFLOPS is 4.2 TFLOPS, and wouldn't you know it that's that the PS4 Pro has. Even assuming the games are exactly as demanding as each other (which we...

Stop using Forza as a comparison. Sony isn't allowed to use Grand Turismo either. Why? Simple:

Racing games in general don't actually have to render very much, and can often cheat in ways other games can't afford to.

What do I mean? Well:
For starters, racing games only have to render a very narrow section of the world at a time, the track. Anything more than a few meters off the track can be skybox.
Texture quality of eve...

Yes, I can.

I'd still take 60fps and checkerboarding over 4k/30 fps in most cases, but I can see the difference.

1: You didn't ask a question, so I couldn't have answered one if I wanted to if you want to be pedantic.
2: You're a grammar Nazi? Really? Despite a post consisting of a block of text composed almost entirely of run on sentences? Please.

As for the stuff that actually matters, the 580 is basically just a 480 with a chipset that's stable at higher clockspeeds. It's not a significant difference.Yes the higher clock speeds do mean it's more pow...

Yeah, they did. It was BS when they did it to, just like it would be BS if AMD or Nvidia were advertizing the 480 or 1060 as "uncompromized 4k capable."

To be clear, I don't have a problem with people having access to/ the option of 4k/30 or 1800p/60 with fancy upscaling or dynamic resolution settings to maintain the framerate or whatever else they use. I just have a problem with them misrepresenting what the system will be capable of.

Look at Dead Space 3. Which is terrible at both as a result of having multiplayer.
Look at Deus Ex Human Revolution, where the multiplayer is a pointless microtransaction filled waste of time masquerading as a multiplayer mode (and the time spent on it *could* have been spent improving the single player)

Also, no, TLOU multiplayer isn't great. It's pay to win, for starters, and the *whole point* of the level of realistic violence in TLOU is to be disturbin...

Then he's a liar or a moron. I have a computer with a GPU about as powerful as the Xbone X. It can often manage 4k/30, but that usually involves turning down/off things like AA, which is a compromise, and the fact that it's 30 fps not 60 fps is already a compromise.

It can't handle "uncompromised" 4k. Depending on the game GPUs that cost, by them selves, double what the Xbone X can't handle uncompromised 4k gaming. That's not even getting into...

Also they're comparing it to GTA, where the original was a very combat light stealth adventure game about a photo journalist who solved most problems by photographing evidence and having it leaked to the media. That's kinda the opposite of what's good about GTA type games.

No DBZ game is as fast paced as the fights in DBZ can be. It's literally not possible outside canned animations (like the aura chase in burst limit and strike clash in Xenoverse) because people can't think that fast, much less react that fast, and it's important for all fighting games to give characters appropriate tells which isn't possible if every attack is just a blurred flurry of limbs. So if you aregument is "it's not as fast as DBZ" then you haven't th...

Because you have no way of knowing if the game is/will be any good except carefully controlled pre-release info from the single least trustworthy source, the people with several million dollars riding on the games success.

Because if the game turns out to be bad (No Mans Sky,) broken (Mass Effect Andromeda,) or just not your thing you can save yourself 39 dollars and/or the time it takes to sell it to offset that cost.

Because you're supporting a ter...

Yeah, no. You definitely can do that in 2d. It's not the same as moving in 3d to do it, but it's been done before. Balance problems asside, if you think Burst Limit doesn't feel like DBZ I don't think we've been watching the same DBZ.

Xenoverse/ Xenoverse 2 are basically Dissidia Final Fantasy. but Dragonball. It's intended to simulate the battles as shown in the cutscenes/shows (respectively.)

What Arc Systems does is more traditional 2d fighters concerned with "proper" fighting game mechanics, More along the lines of Street Fighter or Marvel VS Capcom.

stop pre-ordering video games. 10 bucks store credit is small comfort if you waste 50 dollars on an overhyped undercooked garbage fire (most AAA games.)

I know right? It's almost as if they released a super technical fighting game that was never going to maintain a super large audience to begin with, and then broke the casual modes with hilariously OP crap that takes 200+ hours to earn and 30 seconds to buy and even destroyed the 1v1 mode for serious players with a combination of a lack of servers and poor net code.
