First off BJ's Warehouse is big on the eastcoast especially in North eastern US, They're similar to a Sam's Club. This is really big news and anyone who runs Fold@home can tell you the most PS3 consoles in the US are Northeastern US. Store space is limited and HD DVD isn't making the cut so stores will begin dropping it.
-Blockbuster
- Target
- Woolworth
- Bj's
- Next **Wal-mart?!?! They don't Target to steal all the HD crowd and with there recent ...
Yeah the "positive" message is don't buy one. The car company Kia offers a 10 year warranty but every1 knows they're not the one number selling car. A 3 year warranty which is the longest in any hardware history sends the consumer the message that this product is likely to break down at anytime so seeing this as positive is beyond me.
I remember the first time I seen a MS guy talking about the Zune on Good Morning or something, and one the hosts from the show was dissing the zune really hard. After seeing that show mircosoft should have taken notes and came up something original like a digital video machine instead of jumping into the MP3 market.
Probably madden since I like playing in the tourneys. I know Madden and EA has slacked off year after year but when you been playing Madden since 90's what is a guy to do.
Actually Wal-mart.com is made up of different Wal-mart distribution warehouses all over the US, which also caters to each one of there stores in there area. So sold out on Wal-Mart website means there is no PS3 in any of the wal-mart distribution centers at moment.
Well it seems with the Price cut the PS3 is doing pretty well Wal Mart, Circuit City, and Amazon seem to be selling the must. Now Sony needs to realize people don't want an 80 GB with a motorstorm bundle they want a cheaper price.
Even if the playstation 3 is used for a blu ray player Sony it still getting its commission from blu ray movies. It's win/win for sony no matter how you look at it.
The XBOX doesn't come with the HD, and from what I hear the HD DVD add on hasn't been selling that well since blockbuster announced they're blu ray only. Game over.
Shouldn't M$ be worrying about the RROD issue before making lame attempts at Sony? Sony can easily take a hugh lost on the PS3 and still laugh all the way to the bank. I mean it doesn't matter what system you're playing on you're gonna want a TV, and Sony has 6 of their TV models in the top 10 so it's a win, win for sony, let's not forget blu ray, and let's not forget about the almight PS2. What doesn't Mircosoft hardware department have to fall back on? Zune?
The people who gotten one must have gotten there refund check from mircosoft after all the money they had to pay for repairs.
Don't worry you can still buy a 160 HDD for only $100.
Yeah sure they're trying to keep the 11 million XBOX owners happy, but what about the stockholders who invested there saving into the company when M$ tells them they're unreiable hardware is gonna cost them 1 billion? Add that to 20 billion in losts I'm sure they aren't going to be happy.
I have a feeling that the offical Sony Price drop speech, and the Killzone playable demo it looks like the 360 Elite may be sitting on the sidelines.
When I owned a Junk Box my problem was this tazer sound coming from the DVD drive. Myself and a couple other guys I knew had the same problem where is our comp? I guess thats what you get when you have a software company trying to get into the hardware using the cheapest Chinesse company to build hardware.
The game is pretty much the same unless you actually sit there an examine the two of them which most people will not. Anyways the regular XBOX had better graphics than the PS2 did anyone ever really care?
Sony is the 2nd biggest game developher company in the world behind EA.
Being that Plant Earth was pretty the only thing "new" to come out on HD DVD I wouldn't be suprised if still selling. When both come out Planet Earth on blu ray was beating the $h*T out of the HD DVD verison.
- Get a major rental chain
I'm sure Hollywood Video, or an online rental place isn't gonna throw away the only thing that is making them money in the HD war. Were only weeks away from hearing Hollywood going blu ray.
- Get a Studio
With Blu Ray leading the software sale 70% to 30% and the war in the final stage what idiot movie studio would dump more money into a losing technology?
- Get a Cheaper Player
It could help, but whe...
Looks like motorstorm. I wonder if the 360 could handle that without the cell.
I guess you really don't get it? The PS2 push people to the cheapest DVD, and the PS3 will push people to blu ray. To not count the PS3 as a blu ray is a joke. Hollywood, rental stores, and retail stores don't make there money on hardware sales so they're monitoring the software sales and 75% to 25% is all they need to see.
