@Lukas, "Remember when people said the PS4 version looked washed out and blurry?"
Remember how they preferred the dark looks of the XBone? They must be very sad. I hope they are sad for the comments they were making towards me.
If you go with the $99 one, make sure it's not the gold subscription 2 year contract (aka you can't resell it as per your licence agreement with MS) and that it's an actual up front $99.
Really thought I was going to walk away from that article as a shoppers guide and learning something about each console's actual experience. It ended up being someone frustrated at his bad luck venting.
I'd put this in with the smoking xbones.
I think it's worth updating my GFX card on my pc every year or two. I'm not talking about 500$ ones, but just 100-200$ ones works.
4k displays are around the corner for the norm. Technology doubles every year and doesn't wait around for those who wish to stay complacently stagnant in their archaic ways.
xbone was made for the 10 year span: as a media hub.
Not for games.
With steam machines on the horizon, MS positioned the XBone very interestingly in my opinion. That's why I'm angry at them at the same time as it didn't really help me as a gamer - it feels evident that the multimedia was more important to them than the core gamers that made the 360 what it is.
What I'm really curious about (after reading this article) is how...
I used the 10$ on flower, definately a unique game that I'm loving.
Also, "I remember hearing them say that NA was considering Resogun and Contrast as december's freebies. Since the PS4 isn't out yet in other continents."
These free games for XBLive: Gears of War...
.....zzzz
I remember hearing them say that NA was considering Resogun and Contrast as december's freebies. Since the PS4 isn't out yet in other continents.
Thank you for the correction, as I think my hangover is interfereing with my thinking this morning. However, I'm mainly getting at it's not for profit, though, in that comment.
Simply because of the API familiarity - xbone is just a windows 8 ported over.
I'm pretty sure it's the same argument as DirectX vs OpenGL.
Considering DirectX has a dedicated team working on it while OpenGL is open sourced, I would hope DirectX is easier (like this dev says) as that team provides more clear documentation of how to use the API. However, it doesn't mean it's better like MS' smear campaigns say.
DirectX is proprietary to MS. With SteamMachines coming (linux/openGL) I would hope that these devs take...
@mystogan
More like, ps4 has all the potential to have the same features as xbone AND more pixels.
@killuminati
First, if you still think cable is a big deal, you're kidding yourself.
Second, it's a simple observation of who each company is catering to. As a core gamer, MS let me down as I was not their target audience for what Xbox used to be.
Third, who cares if Sony copies snap? At least the hardware will let them, unlike the other for games. I hope cloud gaming really well help Xbox, because all you have right now is an expens...
If they stream live tv will it matter?
Beating by like 2pts on metacritic.. Yeah, launch titles.... lol.. Just can't stop laughing at the ignorance.
Michael, that seems awfully short-sighted.
@Hercules
There are many qualitative ways to show graphical prowess. Resolution is an easy one to point out of the bunch. Especially resolution and frame rate combined.
Cut the ignorant Crap... Resolution is part of the whole picture, it's a percentage of squares (pixels) showing on your tv derived from what your hardware can produce.
@Andrew
I count games I can play, period. F2p is good too keep my console from stagnating.
XBox needs voice commands for the UI, PS4 does not and gets you to where you want just as fast. Simple.
God, launch morning, my roommates kept waking me up with their voice commands.
@georgeenoob
Assuming said retailer has extra stock close to the holiday season.
