Because there were no x1 retail bundles, right?

Yeah, I'm not sure if this article is hinting at more or looking at "mistakes" like this. Mistakes is in quotes because it's opinionated.

I wish you had commented because of the indent above you.

Reading comprehension sucks amongst fanboys on any side. There was even a ms fanboy daring to come in, bless him. Lmao.

Edit: I wish there was a bubble down for "obviously didn't read the article."

Look, I agree that would be freaking awesome, but did you read the article?

"Nintendo won’t license its whole portfolio, and will still consider competitiveness (partners will be accepted only if they aren’t direct competitors and a win-win relationship can be forged)."

AREN'T direct competitors...

Yeah, well, at least put a price on your fan dignity.

You totally fed the troll. He didn't mention Sony and you ate that up.

Edit: console install base is still growing. Demand dictates it's a surprise to see a sale like this, imo. But definitely not like steam, yes.

Sorry, edited as I wrote a book-like agree with you that no one would read.

Yeah spark has had my attention since e3, can't wait for more info, especially if it's f2p like I saw ign had in parentheses back in November.

Don't look into it, it's worth doing as you need ps+ anyway and it will give you an extra game (that is also a fun game). And I'm pretty sure I read it was resogun leaving the instant list which is a $30 game. Also is the highest rated 8th gen exclusive.

<shrug> all the newbies to ps+ will start seeing how good of a deal it is come 6months to a year from now, "oh, I was planning on buying that game when I could."

4444d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Anyone know it'd the ps+ games show up on attach rate? Or f2p games or their currency?

If you think about it, x1 ships with 2 fighting characters. Ps4 day one adapters (w/ps+) had, as an example, resogun for free. We all know that's a really fun game which may not be on the attach rate... as well as all the free downloads (contrast, don't starve, warframe, blacklight, dcuo).

I'm just saying, does anyone know how that stuff gets tracked?

A lot off two faced comments in here. Obviously ms puts their new studios on old ips because of sequelitis. It will sell. Until gamers start supporting new ips, ms has no reason to really pit money behind new ips.

Risk vs reward. New ip is risky.

Just seems weird to hear someone saying Sony is throwing money around when comparing it to Microsoft.... lol

Throw your 17b worth, Microsoft's 50+b well never out throw, haha.

Not poking fun at you, I just had some mental images that made me laugh.

I want one :( I don't want one to just pay it, I want to give lots of feedback

4444d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It stems back to the implementation of live. Pc games didn't need a subscription base, wii didn't need a sub, ps3 didn't need a sub.

12 years now and all we get is pr spin.

4444d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

The difference with mmos is that your paying for the server to be able to play with thousands of people at a time. Also, a maintenance team and dev team to make content basically weekly.

I understand your choice to not play a sub game; I can't anymore. However, mmo costs are usually higher than others.

Yeah, I agree with kobe357, Sony had to add ps+ to compete. At least you get games as an added incentive.

In August 2013 the amount that xbl brought in was $5.6 billion, and ps+ brought in $140 million... 32:1 in favor of xbl. If you were competing with another business and they brought in 32x more money, how else could you compete in terms of online infrastructure?

"I wonder why MS would put this game behind a paywall when they know their main competitor isn't?"

What isn't behind the gold pay-wall? The e3 version of x1 was online only to justify the whole system needing to be subscription.

Good for Sony for finally doing that, they made a good decision.

In the case of these small developers, even if it's a smaller game doesn't mean that developer couldn't craft something to cause a stutter at 1080p/60fps... I know me saying that might cause some trouble, but have some faith in random devs..

Nukeitall,

Some people fail to give ms some credit yes. Times are changing allowing technology and services (games in this case) to come about faster. But first let me say, Pc has always had that self publishing feature where all you need is your completed game and a website to start getting your game out there.

The way I see it, choosing a specific, non-pc platform to make a non-AAA forecasted game for it is now like choosing a restaurant to go to... why wou...

Yes, eventually. However, there are some issues with streaming games, so some of us would rather run them locally.
