I was going to buy it on PC, but the DRM put me off too. I could buy it on 360, but i don't like buying multiplatform games on consoles if they are available on PC too.
Eh, i was a bit disappointed with these, nothing really on sale i'd like. I have around 2000 spare points on my account that have been unused for quite a while now, Sony's PSP sale has been great though, bought a few games in that including Tekken 6 and a digital copy of God of war chains of olympus, on topic though.. i wouldn't even put the PSN or XBLA sales in the same league to call them 'steam-y' sales..

What the MS points help mask is the difference between different regions, you know - how much something costs in europe versus the US for example, since they don't change the price of the item, but the points them, so people don't really notice.
I didn't notice that, but it may be a console only thing, so i wouldn't.
He didn't say they were not easier to track, or were harder to track. He was saying they were not publically tracked, ie, valve don't release steam numbers.

Are you implying that is something we should knock them for, is that a bad thing? Why would DICE give you free map packs, if you didn't want to give them any money for their product (the game) ?
Out of the consoles, i'd be lying if i said any other console than the PS3.
For me, the 360 is kind of lacking real exclusive games. I don't mean this in the way many of you expect, but i really do play the so called exclusive games with better graphics, performance and online on my PC.
But there are some true exclusives that i enjoyed on the 360, such as Gears of war 2, the online was fun, even if it was extremely unbalanced once the had fixed all the problems. The ...

Because that hasn't been true for a while now. The vast majority of console multiplatform games are more or less even, the differences are unnoticeable. It is just two or three multiplatform games that end up being considerably better on the 360 that get the attention, other than that - its not really an issue any more.
But really, i ask people who say there is a noticeable difference, if you get worked up over such small differences, how can you even tolerate the graphics on con...

Mass effect 2 looked fantastic, at least on PC. Some screenshots i taken:
They don't look as sharp as in game due to the crappy JPG compression i used.. it is showing aliasing in places where it actually wasn't in game.

See, i could play that game too. I won't, because its stupid. But you can't take the higher ground, because.. well you can't.
Games like Heavy rain seem to be pretty much entirely funded by Sony, but when you see Ninja theory speaking about it, it sounds like it was them putting some of their own money into the development of it, and didn't make their money back on it.
Call of duty is pretty much just a console game now, i've just been gifted MW2 on steam, and it still feels like a console game and doesn't fit in at all.
But, i don't think the franchise should ever be taken away from the PC, as it was that audience that brought it to where it is today, it became popular thanks to the PC and even if the quality does decline, i still think there will be fans of the series that will want to enjoy it on the PC.
They didn't only make it for the 360, it is coming out on PC too.
If these prove to be much better than my two 5850's, i'll sell them while they're hot and buy a 480, maybe two 470s if the prices are right.
But yeah, my 5850s were £200 each when i bought them, they're selling for £230 - £260 at the moment. May be able to get a decent price for them still..
They're regular hard drives in a Microsoft case and connector, nothing special about them.
Since the option to install games on the HDD with NXE, i can't play disc games without installing them. It is just too nice not having to hear that terrible DVD drive.
So, larger (and preferably cheaper) HDD's are of an interest to me, but it doesn't get that much use, so it isn't essential. But i have just re-bought a gold sub, so my HDD may start to fill up with some more XBLA games.
