Why would it start a Microsoft vs Sony war? It has nothing to do with Microsoft as a company, the fact it is on a Windows PC means very little to any PC gamer.
Its to do with the steam integration more. If you're going to do cross-platform online play on 360 i'm fairly sure the PC version has to run on games for windows live to give Microsoft some control over the online, and with games for windows live being a competitor to steam, valve wouldn't do that.
"Major exclusives always have the console displayed prominently on the banner, yet FFXIV’s removal of PS3 branding could indicate a potential switch to multiplatform release. We’ll have to wait and see."
Maybe it doesn't have PS3 branding because IT ISN'T AN EXCLUSIVE. It is coming out on PC too. I have the alpha beta of the FF14 beta on my PC right now.
It is probably fake, the fonts and styling looks like an attempt at ripping off Apple's marketing style, but it wouldn't look like that if it were done by Apple.
Why is he bold? What?
Planetxbox360 writes wayy to much about other consoles for being a XBOX 360 site. Maybe you should move into multi-platform network?
While GTA4 is a bad port, if you have the hardware to run it - it is much better on PC, especially with the mods.
I don't care what any of you say. You lot are so ingrained into what other RPG's have done you have forgotten what an RPG is.
Yeah, Mass effect 2 puts some better shooter mechanics and controls in there, but what do you do in Mass effect 2? You are commander shepard, you are in his world, your actions change him as a person, change the people around him, change his world.
What is that? You are playing the ROLE of commander shepard. Yes, I know Mass ...
Such a shame the consoles are so weak. 1080p and locked at 60fps looks absolutely brilliant. Instead we get low, low resolutions on consoles at 30fps.
Frustrating.
Steam is absolutely brilliant. There are one or two janky things about it, but the bigger picture negates them almost every time. The deals are the best i've seen on any service, ever. The community is great, as are all the community features.
You say that, but the PS2 had a load of shoddy ports despite being the market leader by light years. Go compare some of the Xbox vs PS2 games graphically.
Granted, there was a bigger difference in hardware specs then, but the fact still remains, i don't think the PS3 beating the 360 in market share would make much of a difference, because the 360 would still be selling software, and it would still be cheaper to develop on the 360 and then port it over to the PS3.
Was my question which i put to him.. because their stance is/was rather hazy. Glad i got it answered.
Pearl necklace
Modnation racers and the future. Both my favourites, brilliant.
"Too much hair gel says what?"
"I've got a new title for you, VP of washing my car"
Yeah, there was a game on the 360 where it tried to go to the playstation store a few months back too.
Strange that these problems get through QA.
The only closed thing about Mac really is the hardware, which can be a killer when it comes to gaming on the platform but i suppose that doesn't hurt consoles much.
Being both a Windows PC gamer, and owning a Macbook pro, and a big fan of linux, i'd say for being 'open' It goes Linux -> Mac - > Windows.
Apple like to put some 'we like it like this' things into the Mac user interface, but they won't ever try to stop you from d...
The word art is constantly thrown around with little proper meaning. Going off modern meanings of the word, there is absolutely no way you can say games can't be art.
Going off the old definitions, then that is what is still being debated.
I think all they really need to do is change the shape of the triggers, that is my only complaint. But even then, i'm not too fussed. I love everything else about the controller.
Keep it how it is, maybe with some status LED screens on the front of it - other than that - nope.
Maybe like said before, Insomniac feel well looked after and feel they are in a nice position. Stability is something they may wish to keep.
Fable isn't the most hardcore, sophisticated RPG out there. But i love the charm and simplicity of it, it is nice to have a bit of fun with such a game every now again.
I'll see how much the supposed save-game progression effect the game, but i'm still likely to get this on PC now that i can. Loved the 360 version of Fable 2 though.
