Not all on max detail at high resolutions, with good framerate, unless you class 30fps good framerate. But they are still capable of running the games better than the consoles, even if its not on everything maxed out.
For those saying you need to upgrade every year:
8800GTX, still capable of running all games out there better than the consoles can, and it came out around the same time as the PS3.
Enough said.
Its funny, if PC gaming is dying, ATI would not of sold 2.5M GFX 5700 - 5800 GFX cards within two - three months, all at £150 - £350 each.
Either way, you should hope it doesn't die. Real graphics technology progression comes from the PC hardware in advance to you seeing them on your consoles. That progression would certainly slow down if PC gaming died off.
Valve are a PC developer, they wouldn't ever make a console exclusive game.

Yes, I played both versions. Had a quick round on the demo which they had running on a 360 on a store near me, because I don't have gold on xbox live anymore, and played the PSN version for quite a while.
PC version was better in every way.
Lol, so you're basically saying that "Hey, the console versions are better because i'm choosing to ignore all the extra features and better performance in the pc version"
I don't care about the price, i already have my PC that runs it FAR beyond that of the PS3 and 360 version. I've already got all this stuff, so why would i buy the console version over the PC version?
I would not, because it is a FACT the PC version is better. I think the only thing the co...
I'm not sure how you can say the PS3 or 360 is the better version..
PC
Better graphics? Check
Better performance? Check
32 player matches? Check
Better control (and can still use a pad if you want)? Check
What does the console versions have that the PC version doesn't?
The PC version worked perfectly fine for me after the first day, absolutely no lag and connected every time. I've tried all three versions, and the two console vers...
I'm not sure what you're trying to say, that there isn't any "emotional connection" in Mass effect 2, or there shouldn't be? Because both statements would be extremely silly. Like all stories, things like emotional connection are determined by the delivery of the story, not of the setting, or type of story it is.
I have not played Heavy rain yet, i will do soon, but if it is even near the quality of Mass effect 2, i'll be extremely happy. Of course, they are two different games beyond the way the story is told, Mass effect 2 has great action gameplay and is more of a role playing game, and Heavy rain is you following the story of characters, with some slight role playing elements.
wow
So why wouldn't you want to play it at superior framerate, and graphical levels on the PC with a pad? You could probably buy the game and a wired 360 windows pad for £5 more than you would pay for the game itself on the 360?
I have a 360 that i could play it on, but since i have seriously kicked back into PC gaming over the last year, i've been buying most of my multiplatform games on PC, so that is where i'll be getting this.
How could anyone who has heard Wossy speak disagree with this? Lol
The 360 does the scaling and image processing into a higher resolution, that higher resolution image is sent to the VDU, as a "HD Signal".
The game is rendered in HD resolutions, just its native resolution which the engine runs the game isn't HD. They upscale it from the low resolution to the higher, HD one.
Maybe, it was only one review that i read where the FPS was supposedly a problem, so he could be talking about the PC version with his PC not being able to run it correctly.
Bigpappy, i'm fairly sure he was talking about the framerate (frames per second/fps).
I've heard the same, with framerate drops on the 360 version. I played it on PC so it was locked at 60fps :D
BOOM
Yep, completed it for the second time last night. Going in for my third! :D
Last game i did this on was Metal Gear Solid 4, and that is fairly linear, but you can play through it many different ways.
Good job DICE. I'll be getting the PC version, however - in its DX11 Glory!
