Microsoft, nintendo and apple all have them here in europe - why is sony so different?
Why can't they just get them out in the easier countries, such as the UK?

Major nelson's podcast is a semi official podcast, microsoft wouldn't want them to be pretty much advertising the competition on there, would they?
Yeah, when i got my last 360 i got a few demos on there. But there were not many at all and they were not showing off what was good about XBL at all.
I'm not sure that would do well in sales numbers. I know the consumers know they would be getting all these games with it too, but not many people would want to jump that deep at first.
What got me thinking though, is that sony and microsoft could put a greatest hits disc in one of the bundles that include all the best XBL and PSN games, or put one in with every console sold, but the disc only has the demo versions of them - could be a great way to tempt people to get connected. ...
and the MGS4 backwards compatability bundle keeps popping up in retailers.
I agree though, i wish i was just coming into console gaming now.. i'd pick up a gears 2 bundle and a killzone 2 or inFamous bundle! (Couldn't get MGS4 one, not available in the UK).
3 dual layer?
A dual layer blu-ray disc can hold from anywhere to 48 - 54gb. So that is 2 dual layers minimum, maximum, 2 dual layers and 1 single layer :p
Graphics look sharper, that is all - wouldn't say they look amazing.
However, the game looks really impressive, but one thing that is worrying me is that the whole game seems to be more of a special ops type mission, instead of special ops type missions AND full war, on the battlefield type missions.
Either way, can't wait. This is one game i may consider getting on both the PS3 and 360.

Oh and i bought crackdown today, it was cheap - played it for 45 minutes or so... i really don't see the similarities between that and inFamous apart from it being a sandbox game.
Your hard drive won't make any difference to framerate. When the framerate dips in a game it is a programming issue, now how the game is ran :p
I noticed framerate dips.. but in the strangest places. I could blow up everything around me, do all sorts of stuff and the framerate stayed solid.. but then randomly, i would be stood on top of a building - i wouldn't be doing anything and it would randomly just drop framerate.
But i've heard that the framerate is always around 30fps when you're out in the open, but when you go into the tunnels, underground parts and just the enclosed parts of the game - the framerate seems to g...
If the PS3 was the only platform, then it would be hacked eventually due to all the attention being towards that platform.
However, like mentioned above - blu-ray and the size of the games would put people off pirating the games, meaning it wouldn't be that damaging.
I could also see developers filling up blu-rays with redudant data just for the purposes of piracy.
Of course, it deserves more than it is getting. There are a few good games on there, but it needs more for us lot.
Its a shame though, since it has been always nintendo's policy to at least profit on the hardware they sell on day one - which means they obviously don't care as much about selling LOADS of software like sony and microsoft do.
