I wouldn't mind a proper white, you know - an apple white, or a Wii white, but not the ugly eggshell white that is on the 360.. makes it look sort of cheap.

Well, i'd imagine because they already have the engine that they created for MGS4 - it won't take as long to make another metal gear game if it is a game that is coming out on the PS3 or 360.
The 1 year anniversary is june 12th for MGS4, and 11th for metal gear solid.

It uses dedicated servers, but to keep a quicker connection going - so that anyone can join dedicated servers from anywhere in the world, data is sent to and from other players based on their connection status's too.

I didn't want to get involved with all this, i pay for xbox live and i do use PSN alot.
Actual online play is equal on both systems, i don't have anymore lag on PSN than i do on xbox live, infact - i think i've had more lag on games like gears of war 2 than any game i have ever played on PSN.
I'm not taking sides, because i know as a whole xbox live is a better service.
But saying online play is bad on PSN is aload of rubbish,...
It seems EPIC really are trying to get people interested in this again. I can just see, "Gets gears 2 done and then we'll have ago at trying to get UT3 popular again".

The PS3 turned me into a graphics whore. Honestly, when you play a game like MGS4, where it is so polished that they even let you zoom in on things in the cutscenes just to say "Look, we're perfect".
MGS4 may not technically be the most graphically impressive game anymore (even though i don't think anyone has surpassed its character models yet) it still is probably the most polished game i have ever seen.
I submitted pixeljunk quartus for the name, which means fourth in latin - since you know, its the 4th pixeljunk game.
If i would of known that they were looking for plain, simple name.. i could of picked "shooter".

then played it on and off on when runescape 2 came out. The game is good, aslong as you remember to turn public chat on friends or off - that is one of the only bad things about that game - the fact it is infested with idiots.
