I know what you mean raztad and i agree, but they still are not really entirely going for the same thing.
The gameplay is much different, yeah the core elements are still there but it just seems they both have different goals. I think that was the best decision to make sure they went their own way with splinter cell.
Alright then, fair enough.
I'm sure the jaggies and other things will get polished up closer to release, they may do what insomniac do - wait for the last month before it going Gold to polish it all up.
Either way, even if the game doesn't grab any graphics awards, it is looking to really impress on the presentation of the gameplay.
You know, i doubt it would be PS3 exclusive. But multiplatform is something i think they would go with.
Why? Because they need a really successful game on the PS3 to show that the Unreal engine can do great things on the PS3 and because as most of you know, the UE doesn't have the best reputation as a PS3 middleware engine this would benefit EPIC quite a bit.
Makes sense doesn't it? I know they have Unreal Tournament 3, but that isn't a game that is in the publics ey...
Thats because it isn't supposed to be like MGS4. They're two very different takes on the genre, don't compare them.
what
They're Like insomniac to sony.
Microsoft fund Bungie's games, Publish them, market them and in turn own the franchise.
Woohoo!
I'm not really a fan of Halo, but they're a talented development team can't wait to see what they come up with.
I bet it couldn't, why?
Because the reason it is running at 640p isn't down to the hardware, but down to the engine the game was designed around.
Well hopefully they use a new engine for Halo Reach, Halo 3 looked fine when it was released. But when i finally got around to completing it in 2008 it did look a bit outdated and i'm sure the fact it is running in 640p upscaled into 720p had a part in it.
Not surprised at this news at all.
Like microsoft or not, the fact is they own 90% of one of the worlds fastest growing industry's.
Windows did take a beating with vista, but going off experience with windows 7 and the way they have approached the console gaming industry, i'd say microsoft are become more and more *That* company again.
Yes, Apple seems to of taken some of its attention with the iPhone and iPod, which has naturally put more focus on other apple products, which has seen a boost in thei...
One word:
Killzone 2
@Aquanox
Resistance 2 - yes
LittleBigPlanet - No
Halo wars - Yes
^^^^
You're not holding anything, why would you need to protect your TV's?
Microsoft said, if the consumers demanded it - they would provide. They were never against blu-ray, they pretty much only supported HD-DVD to try and take down the PS3.
But yeah, it could happen - but unless there is enough demand for it, it won't.
People are not allowed to disagree with you without being PS3 fanboys?
Yes, it is your opinion, people disagree with your opinion, hence the large amount of disagree's, that is the whole point of the Agree/Disagree system.
I loved the single player, but it was the multiplayer i loved most and knew i would love it from the closed beta late 2008.
The thing is though, the sales were not low at all. People are too obsessed with comparing games to other games.
I still think it is too late THIS gen for either microsoft or sony to break into the casual market and make the impact they want.
However, what they can do is take motion control to the next step and start bringing it into the core gaming audience or, they could use it to bring some of them new 'casual' gamers from the wii into more core gamers on the PS3 and 360.
Even if this game ever came to the PS3, i'm not prepared to wait. I'm buying the 360 version the day it comes out, screw my preferences - this game looks too amazing for me to mess around picking favourites.
While Epic probably could get it on other consoles since they do own the franchise, the fact is Microsoft will be waving cheques at them, cheques with big figures on them that they couldn't refuse.
Microsoft knows that it has a big popular game on its hands and will try its hardest to keep it exclusive to their platform.
So unless the next gears of war game flops in sales and the franchise looses its appeal to the general public to the point where microsoft don't mi...
