Sony is actually a larger company than microsoft. But i do see where you are coming from when you say this, there are reasons why microsoft can spend more on advertising.

No one has pushed any of the three consoles to their limit yet. To say so is silly.
The game doesn't sell anything outside of the US. The PS3 doesn't even have 10m sold in the US, unless of course PS3 owners are going to buy 2 copies each, it wouldn't do 10m.
Ignoring the price, the one problem i think is still there is..
Lack of any forced standard on PSN, it has some great features that no one knows about simply because sony doesn't force developers to use them.
They can't patent something that is already patented though.
I don't think we will see anything against natal or the PS motion controllers.
Sony's stuff is developed internally and their method was invented by that Dr richard marks guy. They have their own patents on that.
Natal was created and patented by 3DV systems, which microsoft bought out so they own that patent and everything related to it.

But what you need to remember, is that games like Street fighter 4 sold better on the PS3 in the end. It could be just the type of gamers the PS3 has worldwide.
The Playstation brand had a massive reputation for being the RPG king for a long while, so many RPG fans bought a PS3 for all the RPG's and untill last year, many bought PS3s thinking Final Fantasy 13 was exclusive to the PS3.
FF13 has only had a year to generate a fan...

I enjoy my 360, i have just had more enjoyment out of the exclusive games of the PS3 in 2008, up to now - 2009, and i think it'll stay that way now that splinter cell conviction is 2010 and the upcoming PS3 exclusives are games i have been waiting for since i got a PS3.
So at least 2010 is looking to be the better year again for me, but like people keep saying. Its a matter of opinion, i know there are fantastic exclusives on the 360 and ...

Its a decent list, i would rearrange it and swap in and out a few games, but still a decent list. MGS4 would be at the top of my list ;)

I really liked the MGS4 ending, i would put it in my "Greatest endings" list.
What happened was early 2008, they stopped working with the advertising agency that had advertised for them since the PS1.
The same advertising team that made these advertisements:

After they got rid of these people who advertised for them for all that time, the ads just dropped off, they're nothing in comparison.
