Not surprising. Remember, the "next generation" usually starts before the "next gen" consoles have even been announced. It starts with the PC.
I did tell myself not to buy this game just yet, because i have spent too much recently on downloadable games both on Xbox live and PSN.
But reading this and other reviews is making it even harder not to just load up my account with microsoft points and buy it! :(
I agree. Downloadable games have been, for me the best single feature to come out of this generation of consoles.
I have not bought Trials HD but tried the trial and liked it, but i had just bought WipEout Fury the day before so i thought i better slow it down on buying everything :p

Yeah, there is now around 132m PS2's out there. It sold 50 million in North america.
Shadow man has said some questionable things in the past here. But that is right on the money.
Look at regular games, Tomb raider: underworld - with all that brand recognition, on 4 platforms and loads of advertising - sold 1 million in one month across all platforms.
That was praised as good sales by analysts, but when an exclusive game with little brand recognition sells 1 million in just over a month it is classed as a flop? Come on people, stop being silly.

I don't think anyone is really getting excited just to see what it sells, but because the previous games were amazing. The god of war franchise cemented itself as one of the best actions series of all time by the time the second one game around and god of war chains of olympus for the PSP confirmed it.
You can't argue that 1, 2, 6, 9 and 10 should be up there, regardless if they deserve their exact number. But there are some questionable ones there, they all deserve to be recognised, but not in the top 10.
As for that guy saying Ken doesn't deserve his position. The guy created and forced sony to carry on with the playstation. The playstation brought gaming to the mainstream, the playstation brought gaming to the biggest form of digital entertainment on the planet.

For realisitic lighting, physics and particle effects - i think killzone 2 looks better. But for art style, character models, high res detailed textures, water and other stuff like that - uncharted 2 looks better.
Oh and character animation on uncharted 2 is the best i've seen on ANY game, in the beta, running around and if you say, slightly knock up against a wall you will stumble slightly, characters don't ignore the enviroment, which 99% of games are like.

There is a difference though, insomniac are in exclusive contracts with sony. Sony fund and own all their IP's (The franchise, name, everything). The only different between Naughty dog (owned by sony) and insomniac is that insomniac operate as a seperate company.
Whereas valve are not in any exclusive contracts with microsoft and the only reason they don't make PS3 games is because they don't have enough man power to do so.

Because in the very same interview he was trashing sony for not making easy for developers, he was doing the exact same thing for microsoft.
He said they were not doing anything to help developers life easier in vista and was doing the same for the xbox 360 by not making the hard drive standard.
