Nice to see GT PSP @ 12th. That is great for a PSP game, can't remember the last time i saw a PSP Game in the charts.
Such a shame the PSP got hit so hard with the piracy stick.. :(
I would recommend it to any windows user too. Not to a linux or mac user, but for a windows user i'd certainly recommend it.

Yeah, crysis is much, much clearer, higher resolution and has amazing AA.
But considering the GPU in the PS3 is basically a GeForce 7800, it is pretty incredible. Naughty dog, woo!
I've seen the improvements in Ai on Uncharted 2, but i really disliked the Uncharted: Drakes fortune Ai, i really thought it was one of the few let downs on the game. Just felt too cheap and unrealistic.
But like i said, that seems to be fixed in this game, so i'm happy.
I don't mean this in any negative way, really.. but, the xbox would not of even had Gears, why? Because i doubt Microsoft would of gone into another console gen.
Halo was such a success and was breaking records on the original xbox, but even then the original xbox didn't actually get anywhere with only reaching a 25m install base over its lifetime, in comparison to the PS2's 130m install base (and still growing). So without Halo, it probably wouldn't of even done the 25m.

They're renders by their game engine. Yeah, it wouldn't be able to generate those renders in real time, 16 cars on the track at 60FPS.
But using the engine to generate them shows a scheme of what gamers can expect since the design is consistent. Its like those renders of cars on the GT Portable, its all rendered by their engine and quite possibliy in a PSP enviroment, but not in real time, which allows them to clean them up and make them look as good as they are.

nlvwithgms, this is the xbox 360 version of the game, not the PS3. So what you said doesn't really make sense.
Snoogins, doesn't interest me. Whenever i crash on Gran turismo i restart the race or time trial. Sometimes i'll even restart if i take a corner wrong and i think i'm going to crash, i'll restart before i even do that.
I'll keep saying it, Gran turismo doesn't need damage and i'm saying the same for Forza 3 after playing the demo.
Johnny, yeah - i was actually planning on buying an EVGA GTX 295 because of the step up. Infact, that is actually a really good reason to stick with the 295.

GamerPS360, i know i'd probably need to buy another case - but as i need a card within the next two weeks i can't buy another case and the card. I suppose i /could/ stretch to a new case in december if EVGA's step up program worked out in my favour.

Sony have proved of what they are capable of, they slipped up on how they managed the launch of the PS3, but they know what to do next generation so Nintendo will have to fight hard to keep their spot.

You've yet to sell me on wasting all that money buying a brand new case for around .3 mm (I'm not one for buying cheap cases). As i will be able to afford and justify buying a new case then too.
Also, the 5870 is only £30 cheaper than the 295 here in england. Still yet to see any reason for it to be a stupid move, i'll take the chance on the £30 extra as opposed to the £100 - £130 on buying the 5870 and...
I'm not bothered about loosing DX11, really. The amount of games that support it probably won't become worthwhile for quite a while yet.
I'm fairly sure that there will be better cards out by next xmas along with much better support for DX11.
The cost of buying a new case on top of the card isn't worth it.
Oh, and i'd like to say - i still use my consoles for the majority of my gaming because of all my friends are on them, so i'm not too concerned at st...

You don't realise.. i'm not just building it because i want to, but because my other one was trashed (dropped down a long set of stairs).
I don't want to be forced into buying it either, i'm the one spending £350 on something that'll be near enough out of date in two months. But like i said, i've got myself into a mess here.
As for buying a cheap card, i'm impatient. I kind of need a GTX 295 level card for a project at college im doing.

And i can sort of agree. I thought gaming was much better during the PS1 and PS2 days of domination.
This generation, while has delivered some fantastic games, hasn't been as good as previous generations. Is it a coincidence that it is like this and Sony's PS3 is considered in "last place" ?
I'm not saying anyone is to blame for this, i've owned all the 3 consoles (sold the wii, still got a PS3 and 360) and kept in touch with PC gaming, but it just feels ...
