Plus, PSP has so much momentum right now in Japan. Personally I think it would be a mistake to release the NGP there too early and kill off all that momentum.
Surprisingly small number for Japan. PSP alone has sold more than double the number of PSN accounts, and that's including alt accounts.

In Japan GBA was pretty much dead within a couple months of the DS release. I can't be bothered to check every week but if GBA outsold DS at any point it was probably a one-off event due to shortages. All your other points are valid though.
For whatever reason PSP has been struggling with shortages off and on in Japan since New Years. I suppose the earthquake and tsunami didn't help matters but Sony really should have sorted this issue out by now.
Horii said they'll "have something to announce by the end of the year". So probably a mid-to-late 2012 Japan release at the earliest and probably 2013 in the west, if at all.

Total trophy count isn't really a big deal to me, although I made a special case with my Wipeout HD plat (#500). I just like to go for the trophies that present a true challenge. My most recent target is 100 challenges in Blazblue Continuum Shift, and after that probably the NGS2 plat (only have 'Master the path of the Master Ninja' left). I can't stand those 'gimme' trophies/achievements but I don't let that prevent me from enjoying a good game such as God of War ...

PSP still rocking in the land of the rising sun. 3DS needs more compelling software. Nintendo probably thought they could cruise through the launch period on brand name alone. That's clearly not the case. Will Wii outsell PS3 at all this year? At this point it's almost a mathematical certainty that PS3 will come out on top in terms of home consoles for the year.

While this will most likely be a PS3 exclusive in the west I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of a Wii release as well. There were rumors to that effect even before Bamco announced a western release. The lack of DLC on the Wii might be a slight impediment though. They love to overcharge for the stupid costume DLC. IIRC they made an atrocious amount of money from the Kerero costume in Vesperia.
I think the Wii and DS numbers at the bottom are just for the UK launch.
Not that I can recall off the top of my head, although I could have sworn there was a DS game that that happened to a while back.
