I have a forza 3 video showing the same thing. Except the flying physics are worse.
Those videos are from training sessions and low level special events. You're not going to get advanced damage unless they level their cars.
Whiny babies will try and complain that they want it all at the n00b level. But sorry, you're not going to get it since you have to earn it. Or else n00b drivers would be crashing and repairing their cars before they got any more credits.

I agree that cockpit mode is harder to drive. But I implore you to give it a try again later on in your progression. Especially once you start fine tuning your super cars.
The ride inside the cockpit is like no other sim I've ever driven. For the first time the physics model reacts to the tiny bumps and irregularities of the straight-aways. You wont notice it under 140MPH. But the faster your car, the better the handeling it will have. But, once you get above, say 175MPH...

Sometimes when I read that (IGN) article, I wonder what the heck game was that guy playing? This game is at least a 9.2+ and that's only because of some early bugs. In six months time this game will be 9.6 ranking.
Heck, Sony/PD even reported that they are expecting better optimization patches as well as improved damage physics in a later patch (in addition to the advanced level 20 and 40 ones we already have).

I was about to say the same thing about Alan Wake and Fable III. While they were good games. They never received the amount of hype. AW's only expectation was the time it took to develop (6 years, longer than GT5 and a much shorter game).
But there's good news. Those websites and so called game reviewers are in for a surprise...
